Author has written 5 stories for Thunderbirds, Stargate: Atlantis, and Power Rangers. Hey all! What can I say about myself...well like ferris wheels, college football, and anything that goes more than 200 miles per hour (I'm sorry I just couldn't help myself). I watch Stargate Atlantis, Stargate Sg-1 and Smallville religiously. My favourite movies are Star Wars, Thunderbirds (the 2004 and original versions), any movie superhero related and I guess any other scifi movies. I'm a 22 year old girl, woman, chick, whatever and I live in the great white north aka. Canada. I grew up living and breathing science fiction. While my friends were watching the Simpsons and South Park, I was watching Time Tunnel, Lost in Space, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, and anything Star Trek. I think I noticed the first time I was a true scifi geek (which I'm very proud of by the way) was when I was thirteen and I was able to have an hour long conversation with an adult about these old shows and I couldn't even talk to my friends for fifteen minutes about the shows they watch. As for writing fics...a few years ago I stumbled across this site and was just drawn into it. Now, I go online everyday to see what's new (I know it's pretty sad). After reading so many fics, I decided to try my luck at writing my own. My first fic ever was Devotion and it's not really good (I'm in the process of revising it) but it was my first attempt and I was so excited and happy when I got my first reviews. For my ideas, I usually write down what pops into my head. I would be sitting in class and all of a sudden a plot would just appear and I would start writing it down (and the professors thought was taking notes, little do they know). When I write my fics I try not to have them interfere with the actual storyline of the television show or movie (unlike Devotion). As for the fics I enjoy, I like any whumping ones. I don't care who it is as long as there's a lot of whumping. I also enjoy romance fics, but nothing too mushy I need some action/adventure in there too. I enjoy comedic fics, but NO slash. I respect the writers who write slash, but it just doesn't do anything for me. Well I hoped you enjoyed the lovely ramblings of my boring life :) |
