Aileil chapter 14 . 7/18/2013
Thank you for the effort you put into this story. You created a much more detailed planet and society than many people bother with. You also put in extremely detailed descriptions which I appreciated. Thank you so very much :).

A great friendship & endurance fic with a tragic, but realistic, end.
lilawonder chapter 14 . 3/19/2010
Quite an adventure! I enjoyed it a lot.
Hromiko chapter 14 . 10/10/2006
Can I blame you when I get kicked out of grad school for not doing any of my readings? I knew when I saw there were 14 chapters I shouldn't even look at it, and yet here I am at 4:30AM finishing it off. :)

This was a really awesome story. All the OCs were likeable and yet unlikeable, just like real people, it had a feeling of reality to it, meeting people in passing and never finding out what happens to them for sure later. In some ways it felt like it wasn't in depth enough, but at the same time that was some of its appeal, you can never know it all. The ending is happy but sad, the whole story is like a contradiction or something with people being nice but mean, nature not giving them what they want then giving too much, poor desert nomads and freakish telepathic insects... :) It was really just wonderful. It's very well written (only a couple stumbly bits and sometimes it could've been me unable to give up what I thought it should say to understand what it actually said) and it very much felt like an episode but with some good bits we don't get to see like talk of friendship and lots of whumping while still staying in character. I can't compliment you enough and I'm really looking forward to reading more of your stories, though I should probably wait until later (and I probably won't...). Keep on writing!

Kam, what a great fic! Just read the whole thing this morning and ...WOW! Loved the action. Wonderful, just plain freaking great fic!
Greywolf Lupous chapter 14 . 9/11/2006
Oh man, I can't believe I've missed this one for this long! First off, awesome, AWESOME ending! I like my happy endings, but this was a good way to end this tale, just seemed fitting. Also, I love all the geology, and the idea of a mega tsunami geyser! Between John's trust issues, Rodney's claustrophobia, and the unreadable Brouk, it's hard to say what the story DIDN'T have. :)
Sholio chapter 14 . 3/22/2006
I loved this story! Interesting premise, good action, and of course lots of neat Sheppard/McKay interaction.

“You called me John."

“Did I? Oh. Well, it won’t happen again.”

Heh.
saclateri chapter 14 . 3/16/2006
And what an ending! Sad, but very fitting. I'm kinda glad it ended this way, but poor aliens. And Elizabeth was wonderfully understated in telling John.

All told, wonderful stuff. Thank you so much.
saclateri chapter 13 . 3/16/2006
Still with the action already...
saclateri chapter 12 . 3/16/2006
Oh, boy. New aliens, and the old ones back again. And Lorne did come to the rescue!
saclateri chapter 11 . 3/16/2006
Just keep on ladelling on the trauma :) I love it. Talk about being in a tight spot.

And have I mentioned before that I love your dialogue. Maybe once or twice?
saclateri chapter 10 . 3/16/2006
Good call Rodney. Splitting up seems like a really bad idea.
saclateri chapter 9 . 3/16/2006
I am really liking these aliens - a real contradiction, one minute nasty beggars, the next loaning McKay a torch. Good stuff.

And Rodney's going to the rescue. Looking forward to it.
saclateri chapter 8 . 3/16/2006
I love the piano teacher line. I agree with that assessment totally. And "That's Mr Gingerbread Man to you" - absolutely priceless.
saclateri chapter 7 . 3/16/2006
Oh oh... Monsters in the cave, and we're back to the snark again.
