Author has written 18 stories for Persuasion, Pride and Prejudice, Twilight, Hobbit, and Captain America. Hello! I'm a wife and mother who always has a story or two (or three or four...) in my head. I love people, fictional and real- their characters, their motivations- and I love the great "What if?" What if a person is placed in a certain situation- how will he or she react? What if a certain element of a story is changed- how will it change a character's behavior? The fandoms I write for: Jane Austen: I wasn't fortunate enough to have been assigned Austen in high school or college; I discovered her through the BBC Pride and Prejudice mini-series after it went on VHS. I read all the books, saw most of the adaptations, found the treasure trove of information that is the Republic of Pemberley, shook my fist that she died before she could write more books, then discovered the glorious world of fanfiction at the Derbyshire Writers' Guild. And I've never looked back. :) Twilight: My older daughter started reading the books in 2007. She said they were good. I said I was glad she liked them. My sister borrowed the books from a friend during the summer of 2008. She said they were good and I should read them. I said that my husband was deployed to Iraq and I was staying far away from romance so forget about it. She laughed and said seriously, you should read them. I laughed and ignored her. My daughter went to the first movie, cursed the name of Catherine Hardwicke, and after a good deal of ranting never talked about Twilight again. My husband came home, we all moved on with our lives, and I forgot all about it. Fast forward to December 2013. My younger daughter and I decided to rent the movies and laugh at them, just for fun. Which we did-- because seriously, the movies are laughable in lots of ways. But then I decided to read the books. Then I read them again. After my third time through I had lots of story ideas in my head, and thought that there must be Twilight fanfiction out there. So here I am. :) Hobbit: I've added another fandom, because I'm apparently crazy and reading Hobbit fanfic was no longer enough. Tolkien purists beware: I love reading the fics you write, but I am not one of you. I love Kili and Tauriel (I'm still irrationally angry that PJ invented Tauriel for the sole purpose of ruining her life lol) and I've recently come to like Fili and Sigrid. I don't think I'll be writing a lot for this fandom, but who knows? Tumblr: My writing Tumblr can be found at whilewewereyetsinners DOT tumblr DOT com. All my fanfiction posts are tagged with the name of the story, so it's easy to find any pictures, research, etc that I put up there. I recently (since I apparently haven't enough to do- ha!) started another Tumblr blog called cullencouture. It focuses solely on pictures of the Cullens and other vampires through the decades and centuries-- if you like historical fashion I hope you'll check it out! Guest reviews: I know opinions vary widely on these. While I don't dislike them, I wish people would get an account and/or sign in before reviewing. Whether you love or hate my story, I really want to be able to respond to your review-- it's especially maddening when someone asks a question and I have no way of answering it. Far too often, though, guest reviews seem to be used as an anonymous way for nasty people to say hateful things. If you are one of those nasty people saying hateful things, you may as well not go to the trouble because I'm just going to delete it. And if you demonstrate your own functional illiteracy while telling me that I'm a terrible writer, I'm going to laugh at you while I do it. Just saying. :D My pen name comes from one of my favorite verses in the Bible, Romans 5:8 "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." I love God, and I love that He loves me no matter when and no matter what. I love that His grace and mercy outweigh His justice. I love that though He expects me to do my best, He doesn't demand that I earn salvation- thankfully, since no matter how hard I try I would never make it. :) |
