When he finds that out, he goes for his rescue. And when he finally finds him, he doesn't like what the months of abuse has done to his baby brother. Brotherly love.

Glass 'verse, sequel to Words Like Shattered Glass. Endverse fic. On the trek north, Sam finds a dog, while Cas and Dean find trouble.

As Sam hung from the cross, he had time to think. He considered his part in the apocalypse and everything Dean had said. This was his punishment. He understood that now. He had to endure this because of all the pain he had caused with his own two hands.

Naturally he jumps to the conclusion that Sam abandoned him to find his cursed normal while Dean fought for his life. He should have known not to assume anything when it came to his little brother. Because Sam was standing there...but he was barely on his feet as his blood covered everything.

Fitz and Ward are paired up again on a mission, and things don't really go any better for them this time than they did last time. In fact, they wind up a little worse, but it's not the fault of the villains... Humor and whump ensue. :)

After the events of #THINMAN, Sam finally decides to extend an olive branch of sorts to his "hunting partner." In the process, he finds that both he and Dean have old wounds that need to begin healing before they can fix what's broken between them now. Spoilers, as it's a jump onto the S9 fix-it bandwagon. The murdered girl in the alley is not who she seems. Detective Beckett and her team learn the hard way that Castle's supernatural theories aren't always so far-fetched when Detectives Ryan and Esposito end up in the same predicament as their victim. This story also has an alternate ending, which picks up directly following the end of Chapter 63.

AU after Season 5, Episode 3 "Free To Be You And Me". Sam takes Dean's advice and leaves. He doesn't get far though, before Tim and Reggie make a reappearance and this time they are not going to take 'no' for an answer.
