This was really good. A beautiful character study, if not heart breaking. I liked it a lot.

Usually I would love this for the Sam whump but instead I love it for Castiel's introspection, his trying to figure out how he feels about Sam and Sam being hurt. Castiel trying to figure out what he thinks about mercy. And I kind of like that it has so little to do with Dean this time, too.

I loved this so, so much. I've read it before but it's been a while and I loved it.

This is such an warming story! Sam is brave and Cas is warmhearted. Could I translate this story into Chinese? I want to share it with others.

This is really great. I love Cas struggling with the enigma that is Sam Winchester! Not so black and white after all. And I think Sam's brother is wrong about him quite often, too lol! xo

I absolutely loved this, especially since, at least from my perspective, SPN writers seem to forget Sam and Cas are friends too. But I loved how you wrote Cas and his thoughts on Sam. And I also loved that line, "Castiel hung up so he did not inform Dean rather sharply that someone WAS." Absolute brilliant work!

Why... Are there no second chapters to ANY of these? Are you flipping kidding me?!

That was a nice, interesting take on the brothers separation. I'm starting to enjoy Sam/Castiel friendship fics more and more. -

"You fell for Dean, but Sam can teach you how to be human."-That's the best line in the whole story and it was like a nail hit me between the eyes. Castiel seemed so cold and detatched and yet something inside motivated him to stay with Sam. I thought it was really wonderful how you wrote of Castiel's lack of experience and inability to fully understand why he did what he did. certainly it was not because he had nothing better to do. Logically, as Dean said in an earlier episode (season 7) angels just aren't equipped to completely understand motivation, emotion or the reason for either. Your story here demonstrates that beautifully. And yet you left room for the possibility that they can be taught. People don't grow up automatically knowing how to talk, they have to learn. I think the same goes for Angels.

I also love how you ended the story-or rather did not end it. You left some of it open to personal interpretation and the possibility for a continuance of story; the relationship (or lack thereof) between Dean and Sam. Very nicely done. :)

I've been a little disappointed at the show for not showing any sort of development in Cas and Sam's relationship. It always seemed to me that Cas and Sam, in less 'apocalyptic' circumstances, would be two peas in a pod since they both are more the scholarly/nerdy type.
