Wow. Where to even begin with this story? It has so much depth. All of them were in character, which is soooo hard to find in this fandom. I liked Karpowski's guest appearance, and Lanie being Lanie. Also, the Edwards case was extremely well-written - all the pieces fit together in the end, and the pacing felt like watching an actual episode of the show. Well done. This is probably my favorite Castle fic I've read so far.

I know I'm like a year late, but I've just recently started reading Castle fanfics and this was just WOW. And I mean WOW.
I always felt Ryan deserved more a way better treatment after 'Always' than we saw on the show. And this fic is completely satisfying in every way.
Sarcasm and seriousness, happiness and pain- all handled well.
Definitely the best fic I've read.

This is not only the best post-Always/After the Storm fic, but the best Castle fic I've read. You handled this really well. You tied in an interesting case without it being a case-fic, and the plot was very well devised and thought out. Everyone was in character, even Gates, whom I've found a lot of people don't quite nail. I especially appreciate that you had Ryan working an interesting case because he wasn't suspended and you were taking us through what his days in Homicide were like. All around, very very good. I aspire to write this well.
