Unnamed Story - Am working on a Twilight King's story. It is in very early stages of writing. I will be rewriting 5 stories that I first wrote in 2012 and posting on here as they are completed. If you take offence to what I write then don't read it. Remember this is FANFICTION. Writer's shouldn't be penalised for writing something different, for breaking out of the mould or for doing the unexpected. 2) If you've said: 'That wouldn't happen in real life' - how would you know? There are billions of people in the world all with different opinions and reactions. Maybe what's written about hasn't happened to you but it might have happened to someone else. Even in the realms of fiction, remember not to judge. 3) Lastly, if you've said: 'this sounds similar to another story' or 'were you influenced by so-and-so? This doesn't hold a candle' - No! I try to avoid such scenarios. If I felt influenced by another story, I would credit it's help in mine. However, I'm not surprised that there are now similarities between stories as the fan community has only grown in recent years. Here are my tips for writing a good review: Remember: DIPLOMACY is defined as the art of dealing with people in a sensitive and effective way. Remember: To include something positive. Remember: If you didn’t like it, pick out one positive thing or include some constructive criticism. Remember: Phrase your criticisms in a polite, friendly way. Instead of ‘I hate the way you wrote *’s dialogue! They would never speak like that! You suck!’ try, ‘The way you wrote *’s dialogue seemed a bit out of character’ and then go on to explain what the writer can improve.
