I loved this story and the parallels you drew between her old life and the new. It was sweet to see Emmett a bit more as he tends to be background a lot. Carlisle is so sweet and I love how effected he is by everything. You're writing is lovely and I hope you keep writing wonderful stories!

Idk if you mentioned it in your authors notes and such but for a while I was wondering who the h*ll was Carlie. But then I’m like right, Esme doesn’t exist in this world so Reneesme is named after the dads instead. Very nice. Lol. I feel like an idiot for just realizing now. Lmao.

Poor Carlisle. I mean, he’s an idiot, clearly. You’d think he would have learned from Edward’s idiocy. But, in his defence, he has a whole crazy (literally, as in, he is a little unhinged about itI let her down, I don’t deserve another chance” thing going on, in addition to his previous commitment not to change someone who isn’t dying anyway. So I can’t sort of understand it. But still. Idiot. Poor guy.

I just realised I haven’t really left you just a positive comment yet, so much as a bunch of questions, so I thought I’d say, I’m really enjoying this.
I’m not super keen on OC stories, especially when they replace a canon character, but this was a working for me. Partly, I think, because it’s set (mostly) post-breaking dawn, so there’s no confusion over that story line happening or reading about it as a side note.

It took me a moment to get past, oh, she’s changed Renesme’s name too, to, well duh, no Esme, no Renesme!
I’m surprised Edward hasn’t picked up more on her thoughts yetrecognising the Cullen names, feelings of confusion etc.
