I love to write and this seems like a good way to share my stories. I mainly write what I feel should happen in my favorite tv shows, movies and books.

It's been awhile since I've update this so I thought I'd list some of the things I've learned from long years of fanfic addiction.

1. Badly written smut can traumatize you for days

2. Too much fanfic can and will put you off whatever it's based on, possibly for a long time

3. Frame your search terms carefully if you have specific 'ick' factors.

4. The backspace button is your friend

5. The favorites option is also your friend

6. Some fanfic reads like literature. These count as improving your mind.

7. The summer hiatus is only tolerable due to fanfic.

8. As are the Olympics, elections, playoffs and anything else that pulls your favorite show for weeks on end.

9. Well written fanfic has the unfortunate side effect of blurring the lines between canon and fanon.

10. If you didn't know better, you'd swear some of these writers must be the real creators because they understand the characters so well.

11. AU's work better for books and movies. They can't be disproved by later episodes the way TV can.

12. Fic's featuring the future, large amounts of angst and massive development of new characters is best left to experienced authors.

13. Posting fanfic takes courage.

14. The only way to get a plot bunny out of your head to is to write it down and post it.

15. Do not fear the plot bunnies.
