It takes a while for the magnitude of Hiccup's injury to catch up with him. When it does, Gobber has been waiting there to help all along.

It became something which came naturally to the two of them. Even when all other communication failed, the brush of fingers against hair was the one constant. It became a kind of a ritual. Every morning, Stoick did this, and every time he did, Hiccup woke up. Every time. Except once.

When life becomes too much for Merlin, can Arthur and his friends save him from himself? WARNING: Graphic imagery and sensitive issues.

"Hiccup had always been small, but even small boys grow up to be men one day." Hiccup finally hits a growth spurt, but things go downhill from there. Growing up was never meant to be this hard, or this awkward. But maybe, in time, they'll all get used to it.

SEQUEL TO 'BY THE FIRES OF CAMELOT'. Fire had engulfed the night sky. Great tendrils of flame arching up to captivate the moment, illuminating the moonless courtyard in the glow of hell's wrath. Only two guards had been there to witness it, and as a body fell out of the flames, they were the only two to rush to its side. A blackened, scorched body reeking of pain.

Even after everything, the relationship still isn't perfect.

One of the lines of many that I was intrigued with was "We're Vikings, it's an occupational hazard." Another line repeated several times was "I'm sorry." This story raises the question, "can two words be greater than three?"

This is a story based on the myth of Nimue trapping Merlin a cave and stealing his powers. In this Arthur comes to Merlin's rescue, but Merlin soon discovers he isn't as safe as he thinks he is and another quest is born to save him from Nimues curse.
