Update 12/23/2011-- Amazingly- I won a prize (second place) in my first HTTYD fanfic entry ever. Granted, it was second place, but I never expected to do so well, especially since I lost by one vote to someone I consider the Best HTTYD fanfic writer (she has won a lot of well earned prizes) and one of the best arrtists (again, she has great acolades for art). I am a mere amateur, yet I am humble that I won second place in the Holiday Writing Contest on the "Sticks and Stones" forum.

Since people have been asking me to define terms for them used in my fanfictions, I made a glossary of terms that I update regularly.

You can find it (and my so called fanfic art) on my deviant art site under FjordMustang.

Deviant Art is where I also have the musical comic I made for a couple of chapters from Antic Repartee's epic HTTYD novel, Hitchups. Its located in the Comics section of my gallery.

Since one of my OCs is a telepathic warhorse known as a Turkmene, I have had people ask about them. They are considered the oldest known horse bred to be domesticated for riding, with evidence of them as riding horses dating back to 3,000 BC. They don't look like most horses since they evolved from a different body type. If you want to learn more about these fascinating, intelligent and very human like horses, there is a cool documentary about Turkmene horses and their modern day descendents called The Heavenly Horses. It's a Russian documentary with English subtitles. You can find on Vimeo and by searching for Heavenly Horses.

Basic Info

Sex: Female

Location: Reykjavík Iceland

Age: Old enough to be older than you. But I am young at heart, and I hope I always will be.

Physical Appearance: Everyone thinks I am from Scandinavia, and I do have ancestry from the Hebrides Islands which were a Scottish Viking colony. I have light blond hair with some red in it that I wore long, hitting my hips until very recently. A few visits to the lovely Icelandic swimming pools and the windy weather soon had me combing lots of knots out of my hair and my hair getting shorter as a result. So I went to one of those amazing Icelandic cosmetologists (they go to a college for styling for almost four years) and had my hair cut to be hitting just below my shoulders. It looks much healthier and bouncier and better for an outdoors life. Plus I can wear it in so many ways, better than just always being in a bun when it was hip length. I might let it get longer, but probably not as long as it was. I also have freckles, especially in the summer because I am outdoors so much. I have green eyes, but they change colors from green to blue to gray based on what I wear or the light conditions, a common symptom of green eyed people, I believe, and I like it. My mom is Scottish, and I have a lot of Scottish in my accent as well. And I'm left handed. Otherwise, as Anne McCaffrey would say, the rest will change without notice.

I am a sci fi and fantasy loving nerd/adventure traveler who currently lives in Reykjavík, Iceland. I come from a half European/half American family, and I grew up in the U.S. Midwest. I love all things Scandinavian and also cultural and adventure traveler in places off the beaten tour bus road. Currently, in RL I work for an airline as a travel package product developer. I also help coordinate consumer events we do. That keeps me busy, but it is a great job and has taken me to some really interesting parts of the world. I also love science fiction and fantasy, especially J.R.R. Tolkien, Terry Pratchett, Orson Scott Card, Ann McCaffrey and Robert Heinlein (my idol of idols). I am always interested in exchanging ideas, artwork, book recommendations and travel tales. So, I look forward to hearing some of your thoughts on sci fi, fantasy and travel experiences!

Hiccup didn't see the point in stopping Astrid as she ran off towards his village—towards his father—with his most desperately protected secret. He was leaving anyway. A coming-of-age tale. Deviates from movie. Borderline bromantic-comedy.
