![]() Author has written 15 stories for Warriors, EverQuest, Dungeons and Dragons, Star Wars, Warhammer, Fate/stay night, World Only God Knows/神のみぞ知るセカイ, and Puella Magi Madoka Magica/魔法少女まどか★マギカ. "The winds grow high - Matthew Prior Hello everyone, I'm Eldest Tempest, and a writer here on FFN. I have been writing for a very long time, though I only started making decent literature a couple years ago. I have a very busy real life (Worst game in the history of games!), and a busy Internet life as well, so I update my stories very slowly. I mostly write serious fanfictions and I lurk in the Games & Anime sections, specifically Warhammer, Star Wars, Dungeons & Dragons, League of Legends, Fate/stay night, Code Geass, and The World God Only Knows. I tend to silently read most of the time, though on occasion, I will review, which I intend to do more frequently. I try to keep my reviews as neutral as possible. I praise the good, and I point out what could be changed, regardless of how minor it is. In other words, I do constructive criticism. I hope to one day become a published author, making actual novella for some of the sections listed above, as well as making my own original works. Welcome to my profile. Feel free to browse. UPDATE: I'm a beta reader now. If you want me to beta your story, I would highly recommend that you click the beta profile link located on the top left of my profile. It has a list of fandoms I'm able to beta for. After that, send me a PM! Where to find the elusive Eldest Tempest: So, you want to find where else I lurk, you crazy people? Okay, I can do that. Note: Due to FFN being stupid and having 99% of the Internet on the blacklist, I'm afraid I can't place direct links for much of these. You'll have to search for me, sorry! :x YouTube - SiberysMusic Steam - Siberys (There are several others bearing this name lurking there. If the avatar is something anime... it's probably me, yeah.) RuneScape - Siberys (Are you noticing a trend here?) SpaceBattles - Siberys (Long may this name reign.) Sufficient Velocity - Siberys (Bear witness to its ascension.) Nexus Mods - Phiarlan (Holy c-c-c-c-c-combo breaker, Batman!) (Blizzard Entertainment's colloquial name for their products) - Arhra Roll20, for if you ever want to play some good ol' D&D with me - Siberys Goodreads, for if you want to stalk what books I read, and discuss books in general - Siberys SWTOR (Star Wars: The Old Republic) - AtrumErus (Forum username. God knows I have too many characters to list. Just know I lurk on the Ebon Hawk server.) Wikia, where I lurk on several wiki's - Shadow125787 (God, I wish name changes were possible. Speaking of which...) Uplay, for if I ever actually play any of Ubisoft's games - Shadow125787 What heresy is this, you cry? Where are the actual social media links, like Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, Tumblr, Instagram, and various others? Answer: I don't do social media sites, period. Only one out of those that I would even consider is Reddit. And, no, I'm not getting an account for AO3 (Archive of Our Own). That place legitimately creeps me out with the amount of disturbing fanfiction located there. This list isn't fully complete, no doubt I'm missing some, but these are the ones off the top of my head. I intend to sign up to some other sites, though, such as TVTropes, and the Beast's Lair/Nrvnqsr. Of course, for the latter one, it would be fantastic, if during the registration process, they actually asked me about something from a franchise I know, and not obscure details from the Tsukihime VN, which is now out of print. Ye' gods. Beta'd Stories I've opted to put all the stories I've beta'd so far onto my profile, before my drabbles on my various fandoms, as I don't want to drown them out. Feel free to read any you like. I'm sure the other authors would appreciate the increased traffic, provided anyone actually reads my profile. Gentle Strength, by mockingjaybrandybuck. Fandom: A Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones. Genre: Romance. All current chapters have been beta'd by me, and a few others. Unwanted Memories, by ATrueHufflepuff13. Fandom: Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Genre: Hurt/Comfort. Oneshot story, so all beta'd by me, as well as some others. Update Priorities: The thing you can handy dandedly look at, to see where I'm putting my focus on. A nice little tool for organizing a lynch mob, in the event that your favorite story isn't too high up. ... That was a joke! Please keep all torches and pitchforks outside, at all times. Thanks! 1. Contracted by Fate 2. ??? (Hey, look, more confusing question marks! Hint: It's a Fate story.) 3. ??? (All will be revealed in time.) 4. ??? (All these question marks.) 5. Hydra Dominatus (Here, have something actually substantial.) 6. Heresy Amongst the Stars 7. Philosophy's Heart Miscellaneous: The TWGOK Birthday Collection, various oneshots, etc. Written and Planned Fanfictions Notice: Fandoms are bolded, italicized, and underlined. Individual stories are italicized, personal comments on the stories are italicized and bolded, and updates are simply bolded. Warhammer Inactive at the moment. Currently, I have two stories and one crossover up. One of my favorite sections to write in. I enjoy the lore Games Workshop has crafted for this amazing grimdark universe, both Fantasy and 40K. Angel Repentant - A story primarily centered around the Dark Angels Chapter of Space Marines. Merir Astelan is temporarily pardoned for his crimes against the Chapter, and is tasked with the capture of the elusive Cypher. Accomplishing such a thing is easier said than done, however. One chapter up. Story abandoned in favor of Hydra Dominatus, which while despite no longer having Merir Astelan, Cypher is a major character in this. As this story's arc would have potentially clashed with Angel Repentant's, I shut down the latter story. Hydra Dominatus - A story centered around the elusive Alpha Legion, one of the nine heretical Space Marine Legions of the Horus Heresy. By far the most mysterious, are the Alpha Legion truly traitors? This story follows Captain Fidelis, a Loyalist Alpha Legionnaire as he begins to unravel several disturbing mysteries in the galaxy. Five chapters published. By far the most active story, updates on this are first priority currently. UPDATE: Heresy Amongst the Stars - A crossover between Star Wars and Warhammer. A squad of Iron Knights Space Marines aboard an Imperial cruiser are transported by the Warp into the galaxy of Star Wars, where xenos and humans co-exist. Caught in a war entirely foreign to the Astartes, the Imperium's finest choose their side, all the while trying to find a way back to their home. Five chapters currently up. Star Wars Inactive. Not as active here as I used to be. One story and one crossover currently published. I write within the Old Republic universe, crafted by the amazing BioWare. 101 Ways To Annoy the Dark Council - Comedy fic. The members of the Dark Council are informed by the Sith Emperor himself that they will be punished for their incompetence at defeating the Republic. So, naturally, he brings back the universally reviled Darth Thanaton from beyond the grave. Pity the Dark Council. Four chapters up. Story has been inactive for eons now. I may write whenever I feel like doing so, but Hydra Dominatus and Heresy Amongst the Stars have a higher priority. Heresy Amongst the Stars - A crossover between Warhammer and Star Wars. The Galactic Republic and Sith Empire, locked in a deadly cold war, must take a new player into account. Mysterious warriors from another galaxy entirely have entered, with radically different beliefs compared to their own. Both sides attempt to gain the aid of these mighty soldiers, while these 'Astartes' attempt to return to their home. With the cunning mind of the Sith Emperor at work, however, that will be far from easy. Same spiel in the Warhammer section. Five chapters up, it's inactive until I please the fans of Hydra Dominatus. UPDATE (9/29/15): See above, in the Warhammer section. Dead fic, planned rewrite. League of Legends No longer intending to write within this fandom right now. Beta requests will still be accepted. A story section I actually haven't written in. I used to be very addicted to this game, and it tended to take up a large chunk of my time, when I wasn't video editing or writing. Dungeons & Dragons Inactive. Gotta' love rolling those dice. I haven't been able to be a PC or a DM since nobody plays in my area. So, I have all these books just on my bookshelf, not having any purpose for anything other than my writing. Two stories currently published. Philosophy's Heart - What is morality? Is a good deed slaying the native kobolds in your area? Is a bad one purging the populace of any corruption? Or is everything all based on perspective? Such questions are constantly thrust into the mind of Aren Nightbow, as he must contend with a divine presence in his mind. And not just any presence either. One chapter up. Currently inactive. This story was an interesting concept on my part, and I may continue it in my spare time, because I really liked the theme it presented. UPDATE (9/29/15): Story added to the rewrite pile, currently lowest priority of fics I actually intend to continue. The Frigid Northlands - There is a land north of the human kingdoms. It does not have a proper name, for it is inhabited by a combination of fledgling cities, wild tribes of barbarians, and all sorts of forgotten civilizations from ages past. Most call it the North. A mercenary forced to flee, Ensia Runewrought finds her way into this strange inhospitable land. She is not without help, however. Five chapters up. Currently inactive. This story was my pet project for ages, my personal apex of literature in 2011. Maybe one day, I'll continue it, but it has very low priority. It takes place in the same world as Philosophy's Heart, though... Fate/stay night Active. Having recently gotten into anime (by recently, I mean over a year ago), my second anime I picked up was the absolutely flooring masterpiece that is Fate/Zero. Fate basically takes three of my favorite plot components (fantasy, history, and a dark story), and mixes them into something awesome. I just love the whole premise of it, and I'm eagerly writing several stories for this incredible franchise. Now if only I could wrap my head around all the intricacies of the Nasuverse. One oneshot currently published, with much more content on the way. The Emperor's Gift - Of the many denizens lurking inside the Throne of Heroes, there is one who particularly stands out. Emperor Nero Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus, the Roman who fiddled while her city burned... or so the legends say. Unfortunately, due to mishaps that may or may not involve the fact Rome no longer exists as an empire, nobody's gotten anything for her birthday. And so a quest for amusement (and maybe a present or two) begins. This was written for one of my favorite Fate characters, Nero, to commemorate her birthday, December 15th. I was completely stumped on what to do for it, and at the eleventh hour, along came this idea. Since I had a deadline, this wasn't nearly as good as what it could've been. Perhaps I'll give it a revision at some point. As this was a oneshot, this is the first story on this site that I ACTUALLY COMPLETED. Hurrah! The World God Only Knows Active. In the city of Maijima, there exists a man who possesses the ability to conquer any heroine imaginable... in games. Keima Katsuragi is a high schooler interested in one thing and one thing only: his games. In fact, his skill at these dating sims has earned him the moniker of the "God of Conquest". Unfortunately for Keima, though, this is misinterpreted as the ability to conquer any girl, 2D or 3D, by the Runaway Spirit Squad, a division of devils within New Hell that hunt down Runaway Spirits that lurk inside the gaps within girls' hearts. Forced into a life-or-death contract, Keima must work with his partner Elsie, in order to force the Runaway Spirits out of the girls' hearts using the only means he knows how: love! And so begins three seasons (or 268 manga chapters) of utter hilarity and... an extremely well-written romance story, actually. I love this franchise to pieces, almost as much as Fate. It puts an interesting spin on several tropes common to the romance and harem genres, to the point where it's difficult to classify it as the latter. The story, as mentioned before, is fantastic, and the characters are all extremely well-written. Each one has their own little quirks and charms. I rarely find myself liking a huge percentage of the cast, but the amount of TWGOK characters I dislike, I can count on one hand (and they're intended to be disliked). Not many franchises can really boast that achievement, in my personal opinion. Putting things back on track to actual fanfiction writing, as of this profile update, I have a few oneshots up, but nothing conclusive - however, my story ideas for this fandom exceed my ones for Fate. So, expect lots of stories for this franchise! The TWGOK Birthday Collection - My colloquial name for all of the birthday oneshots. This was inspired by a self-inflicted challenge to write a story for almost every TWGOK character, in an attempt to teach my brain the uses of time management and fulfilling deadlines. The success of that endeavor is... debatable. I fulfilled the first few deadlines, and while the first two I wrote were actually satisfactory, the others... not so much. I'm never a fan of rushing my work, and well, it shows in those. Due to the stress of school, I am likely dropping out of this. Fics will still be published, but they will rarely be on the same date as the character's birthday. Sorry to disappoint! Puella Magi Madoka Magica Active. Being meguca is suffering! Love this show. Love it, love it, love it. It's on par with Fate/Zero - and that is extremely difficult to match. The Urobutcher showcases once again that he is a masterful storyteller, weaving a Faustian tragedy of such complexity and emotion that it can only be called a masterpiece. ... Alright, I'm probably hyping this a little too much. In all seriousness, check this show out. If you liked Fate/Zero, watch this. Or we might just have to form a contract. What do you say...? On to relevant topics, I have several fanfiction ideas planned for this. Stay tuned, folks. Oh yeah, one more thing: Homura did nothing wrong. ;) Well, there you go. Feel free to PM me about anything you want. Want me to be your editor, or have a specific story in mind? PM! Enjoy the stories, past, present, and future. - Eldest Tempest. |
