I'm trying to find the motivation to get a few more stories updated before I go overseas for nearly 12 months. Most of my ongoing stories have been on hiatuses and I've only done some infrequent updates over the last few months. I hope you'll still read and follow some of my stories though. Some self-pluggage: There are many TheMulchmeisters in the universe... AnimePlanet (too see how much of my life I've dedicated to Anime): http:///users/TheMulchmeister DeviantArt (to see my very amatuerish works): http:/// YouTube (to watch my 2 MMVs): http://www.youtube.com/user/TheMulchmeister?feature=mhee Tv Tropes (to check out what the tropers have said about) Second Verse: http:///pmwiki/pmwiki.php/FanficRecs/ElfenLied and ROTEN: http:///pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Fanfic/RequiemOfTheEternalNightAHollowsStory Some Pointless info about myself: Name: Ben McMullen (brother of the supposed aspiring Author Alex McMullen) Sex: Good Age: Old enough to know you're a whore Weight: 54kg (I'll let you Americans work that one out in pounds) Height: Small enough to get me kicked out of nightclubs Starsign: Do you actually believe in that shit? Religion: None of the above Political Ideology: Animeism (I don't care if it doesn't really exist) What should be done about the liberalisation of corporate free-trade enterprise on a neo-global economic perspective?: Shitloads Favourite food: All of the above Favoutire drink: Coffee/Tea Favourite cuisine: Japanese Favourite pastime: Possibly 80% of my life is dedicated to Anime and Manga or Anime/Manga related activities such as Fanfiction. But I do leave the house to go for a run or bike ride or to enjoy a meal and coffee somewhere. Is this starting to sound like a chicks profile?: Yes I'm getting worried too. My Espada Anime from 22nd July 2013: 1. Elfen Lied Has always, and probably will always remain, my all time favourite Anime/Manga. To be honest, it's the Manga which is what I should be referring to. I can comfortably write a story from nearly any angle for this series. I could go on all day about why I love Elfen Lied so much but I'll spare you the torture (Lucy's DNA voice laughs devilishly in my head right now). But it has had a huge influence on my fanfic career. 2. Berserk Back in Second spot after watching the latest Battle for Dolrey movie. A great story following the brutal life of the Black Swordsman. The Anime was great in all its adventure, drama and no doubt remembered for its tragic ending. The manga has a love/hateness about it with new characters, longer arcs and bloody long waiting times for new chapters!!! 3. Fairy Tail I've been writing more for this series lately but, as with all mega-series, has some of the annoying traits like filler arc and lack of MCDs (very severe lack of in fact). But the characters and story with its effective combination of action and humour more than make up for it. 4. Bleach If we're taking the Anime: gragh! Censorship, filler arcs, too many teasing of a good character's death and did I mention the censorship? But if we're talking the Manga: whoah have you read the latest arc? Bleach will always have a high spot as it was one of my earlier Animes plus it has some very memorable fight scenes and characters. I also have a knack for writing crossovers with this series. 5. Sailor Moon A shameless old favourite of mine. And now that I've finally completed the 200 episode series, I've given it a decent placing in the Espada list. It launched the Magical Girl Anime genre and has forged a cult following for over 20 years. And now we'll all be looking forward to this brand new version of the 90's Anime coming out later this year. Keep fighting for love and justice, Sailor Moon! 6. Code Geass After a long absense from the Espada List, Code Geass has returned after I finished the R2 series. Brilliant anime by the geniuses of CLAMP with spectacular fights and tactics. Lelouch's character is superbly protrayed in both animation and voice and virtually every character is worth sympathy despite their swinging alleigances. And Crispen Freeman for Jeramiah - enough said... 7. Hellsing Alucard...Enough said really. 8. NEEDLESS Pretty happy with myself to have read all the Manga too. Adam Blade and Eve Nueshwan-whatever are essentially the series itself. Thick lined and sharp edged character designs and kick arse powers are what keep this series in the list. I'd love to do another X-over or write something for this ANime sometime 9. Puella Magi Madoka Magica This Anime is the Evangelion of Magical Girl Animes. Awesome and surreal animation, epic fight sequences and intense angst between the characters and their deaths. One of the few decent Anime's we have running on our TV channels at the moment 10. Attack on Titam Newest Anime and newest addition to the Esapda list. The Dark Fantasy and Tragic Drama elements reminded me of Berserk and the freaky designs for the Titan monsters are what makes this a new addition to my top 10. Privaron Espada Anime (i.e Honourable Mentions or those that used to be or didn't quite make my top 10 list) in alphabetical order: Black Lagoon Btooom! Claymore Deadman Wonderland Evangelion (namely the Rebuild series) Freezing Ikkitousen K-ON! Sankarea Scryed The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya |
