I want to say thank you to all who have read and reviewed my stories; feedback is very encouraging to any writer or artist, so thank you! I have been writing personally for twenty years, and professionally for the last ten; and I utterly love it. I write in a verity of genes, but my favourites are: science-fiction, crime, & action/adventure. Sometimes I even combine them all in one! I try not to mess around with the original plot lines/ timelines that the producers have established which means that not many of my stories are set in an Alternate Universe (AU) unless I get a plot bunny that won't leave me alone. I am also quite fond of seeing how our beloved characters react to original characters -OC's- ones who push and challenge the series characters. And I get the dialogue as close to the characters as I possibly can. I watch and read a bunch, across all genes, so you never know what you might get from me as inspiration strike. But please be kind enough to leave a review! Even a short 'thanks, I liked the story" is helpful, and much appreciated. And is anyone else as excited for the Star Trek set on the Enterprise as I am? No? Just me? ok. #stayhome #staysafe #andwritefanfiction “Fanfiction is what literature might look like if it were reinvented from scratch after a nuclear apocalypse by a band of brilliant pop-culture junkies trapped in a sealed bunker. They don’t do it for money. That’s not what it’s about. The writers write it and put it up online just for the satisfaction. They’re fans, but they’re not silent, couchbound consumers of media. The culture talks to them, and they talk back to the culture in its own language.” —Lev Grossman, TIME, July 18, 2011 |
