 Author has written 20 stories for Avatar: Last Airbender, and Inuyasha. A little about me then, I guess. I'm a huge fan of Avatar: the Last Airbender. I've been a Zutarian since "I'll save you from the pirates" though in the beginning it was purely superficial. By series end, I loved their dynamic and the parallels between their stories. Making fanart and fanfic for this couple helped keep me sane through grad school, and I've loved being a part of this fandom (yes, even during the intense shipping wars). I named my cat Miyuki just so I could occasionally look at her and say, "Miyuki, did you get in trouble with the Fire Nation again?" Recently I discovered Inuyasha, and more than a year later I am still having a fantasy love affair with Sesshomaru's hair. I really love the possibilities in that world, and I've written a few fun little ditties for that series. I know I'm more than a little late to the Inuyasha party, but that won't stop me from playing around in that universe. Please note, I am not a writer by nature, I'm a scientist, so please be gentle with me! On the same token, advice on ways to improve is always welcome. A note on my stories: my first piece of fanfic ever was the prologue for If It Kills Me back in (oh man) 2009. It was a oneshot for a contest over on dA, and the prompt was "songfic". That's why it starts out like that. But then the plot bunnies started to fester and it kept growing. I haven't updated it in a long time, though I do still hope to finish it. I know where it's going and I know how it will end. However, my writing style has changed a little in the past seven years, and I think before I can do that I'm going to have to go back and revamp the entire thing. And that will take some time. So it hasn't been entirely abandoned, but you might want to avoid that one for a bit until it has been reconstructed! Thanks for your patience! The good news is that grad school is behind me (yes, I am now officially Dr. Sadladybug) and I hope to be able to dedicate some time to finally finishing both If It Kills Me as well as work on some other projects. Grad school may be over, but fandom is forever, am I right? One thing I've learned: never underestimate the power of "artfully smutty Zutara."
