I have a great of fics set in the second person; they allow not only for a rather poetic flow if the sentences come across in a simple, sparse way - and they certainly do here! - but they allow for some tongue-in-cheek moments, where a simple line causes reality to come crashing in. Like the 'Here you are' line after Katara reflects on how she's fought for the women in her tribes to be more than glorified maternal figures. And yet she's managed to force herself into the exact same place.

Of course she breaks herself free by the end of this. And while it's a very teenage dream, to run away with someone you love, it's a very freeing experiance as well, reflected in your description of the way they portray themselves, dishevelled but comfortable. And for these two people who have a great love for the world, who's traveled through it, but never while they're properly together, now on the 'endless blue sea', finally wearing the colours and the hair that she feels comfortable in, there's a host of possibility for her - and for him. And it's a wonderful place to leave them.

This is wonderful! It really highlights the way the producers failed Katara's character, and he her struggle for independence is an important part of her. The ending was lovely, I love that there's love and caring between her and Zuko, in their own way, whithout it ever stopping being about Katara. Thank you!

Beautifully illustrated the illogical and unfair parts of Kataang on Katara's character, acknowledged almost poetically. Good job.

I love this! This is pretty much exactly how I feel about Kataang. I hate thinking of Katara being reduced to just the Avatar's girl, mother of airbenders, when she's so, so much more. This is lovely and is pleasantly brusque. Very clean and a pleasure to read.

Wonderfully written. I really love this piece a lot. Well done. Yoy kept Katara in character, and your use of language is excellent. There is one sentence though that's a bit choppy because I guess it's missing a few words, or punctuation, or something, in part 1. It's the sentence in which you introduce Zuko. Other than that, I love this. *fav*
