This by far is the darkest Zutara fic I've read and I loved it! I loved how dreary and hopeless this fic was and so the tender moments between our lovebirds really really stood out. I dunno but I felt that this was Zuko's best performance in a fic yet haha! Off to devour the sequel

Another epic story! I loved this - so dark and twisty. Honestly I wouldn't even have minded if you didn't continue it. As it is, the story stands great on its own (though I'm very interested in where you take it in the sequel!). I particularly liked the revised dynamic between the royal family members. The idea of how their stories might have gone had Zuko not interrupted that war meeting is an interesting one I hadn't really considered before. The Sokka cameo at the end was great, too. I've noticed in your stories you write him really well.

So far the plot was great and Azula's character was very riveting to read, but Zuko seems more OOC than necessary. Even if he didn't get his scar and was trained to be more like mini-Ozai, he still wouldn't want to sleep around with prostitutes or be as smooth around girls as he was depicted in this fic.
Im interested in Katara's past through and seems intriguing that Zuko is the one with the unblemished face and Katara the one to suffer people staring at her scar.

This is my first Avatar fic, and I'm glad I chose yours! I'm enjoying it immensely. I wanted to cry at that "you wrote my name" scene. SO SWEET?

This is random, but I was just listening to Bon Iver's "Holocene" and was reminded of this story! Is this where you got the title for this story? That may be a stupid question and I don't know why I never thought of it before now... If not, the pre-chorus of that song is "And at once, I knew I was not magnificent."
Anyways, HUGE fan of this story and the sequel! Keep up the good work, we miss updates :/
