Beautiful angst. Got me bawling my eyes and blowing my nose. They're a train wreck. Much more than Kagome and Inuyasha. But I love every bits of this especially keeping them in-character.
That's why I don't think any random human woman mothering Sesshomaru's twin in the sequel would work.
It takes time to get to know him. He doesn't tolerate anyone, save for Rin. Other person would always be at an arm-plus-Bakusaiga length from him. Only Rin would be permitted to be around him.
Another facet that I like in this story is the part that Sesshomaru already knows that he loves Rin and would choose her above his pride. He's only waiting for her to make the decision for them.

I had no doubt in my mind that that is exactly how Kaede would act. Trying to protect Rin's virtue and all.
But yeah, sure is a mood killer. I need some more sweet moments here... those with no interruptions, please.

The night of the new moon would also signify the least protection for Rin from Inuyasha. So yes, it would be the best time for Sesshomaru to stand guard and visit her.

A beautiful story. There is something vert different about how you write sesshomaru and run. It's hard to describe but I like it. I also really like that we get to see some of the interactions between inuyasha and sesshomaru. I'm really enjoying reading your stories, I hope you continue to make more!

Honestly this is the best Rin/Sesshomaru-Ff I've read so far (believe me I tried many and none captured my attention like this one). I found this story on AO3 because one of my favourite authors bookmarked it. So I started reading and I was so blown away; so adorable with a nice touch of angst and drama, loved it! Since I don't have a AO3 account I was devastated that I couldn't put this into my favourite stories list. But I am so glad that you also uploaded it here! Thank you for sharing with us! Just love it how Rin changed Kaedes statement about flowers and their environment and so convinced Sesshomaru. After all she belongs to his side! Would love it if you create one day a sequel!

Absolutely beautiful story that is so in character, it's amazing! I love Rin/Sesshoumaru stories more than any other pairing in Inuyasha, and you've managed to make their transition from Ward and guardian to something more in a wonderfully natural way. I love that they were both just waiting for the other to initiate their reuniting. Very bittersweet in what little time they have together to be wasted in such a way, but so tremendously endearing. And the grooming... I love it! Not enough of Rin brushing Sesshoumaru's hair. (I drew something years ago with child!Rin doing that, so I might be jaded.) Wonderful!
