This story begins immediately after the last episode of Season 1. None of the events of the official season 2 have happened in this version of the story.

Callum had gone looking for Ezran just a little sooner and Harrow is still killed. The two princes escape the castle and encounter the elves sent to kill the king. As political prisoners, the elves take them with to Xadia to return the egg. Back at the castle, Viren poses as an ally whilst tasking his children to kill the princes.

They were trapped in the oasis. The two of them (three of them, if Callum counted the horse-bird hybrid animal), one being an angry elf in denial with a situation and the other a human who just wants to talk about it but is scared lest he faces the other end of blazing eyes. Fun times.

Twelve years after the events of The Dragon Prince, the world is slowly settling into peace. But not for long... an old enemy rises to the surface, preparing a storm that will upset the balance of the world, and sets his goals on obtaining on a powerful new 'weapon', the unborn child of Callum and Rayla. Will the world be successful in defeating evil again?

The Indoraptor, still very much alive, is thrust into a world without machines and technology. But he needn't worry, there's more than enough magic and non-humans to confuse him for weeks on end. (Slow build friendship)

It's been six years, six years since the day Viren attacked the storm spire, four years since he and Claudia attacked again with the help of a Startouched elf. The day Viren attacked the spire he had told Rayla of a collection showing a small pouch, the next time he attacked she asked where it was, telling her in his last breath that they will suffer forever...

All is well when the Dragon Queen is reunited with her son. The battle is won, and the mission has come to an end. But what now? After the initial relief of surviving their plunge off the Storm Spire, Callum and Rayla have some unresolved issues.

Soren reluctantly confesses to Callum that Claudia might have ensured Verin's survival. When Callum relates this to Rayla, the elf tells him that Verin had threatened to come back for her and said something about adding her to some kind of collection. Post-s3, oneshot, Rayllum.

Callum looks to restart the Dragon Guard while teaching other humans to form connections to primal sources. Elsewhere, Claudia tries to rebuild her family as she forms her own team of mages to take the fight further into Xadia. All while Aaravos watches both from the shadows with growing fascination and the war between elves and humans threatens to escalate to a whole new level.

To connect to the Moon primal, Rayla takes Callum on a "vision quest." After encountering a two-headed soulfang serpent, Callum comes to understand Moon magic better, but not how he would expect. With the serpent dead and trapped in each other's bodies, Callum and Rayla will need the help of some unlikely allies should they ever hope to get back to normal and return home.

Claudia had forgotten along the way that she was no God and that she didn't get to decide who lives and who dies. It took her brother's sword to finally open her eyes to the reality of what she had become; and that retribution doesn't work the way she believed it did. (Written before S3)

In hindsight, Claudia was dumbfounded at how easily she'd been swayed by Aaravos' words, but could instantly see how Viren had found comfort and power in having the bug constantly present. Rayla wasn't expecting to set out on a journey with her brother and an elven mage to return a stolen dragon egg. She also wasn't expecting her stepfather's once-closest friend to send her closest friends to kill her and her brother. But life is full of unexpected surprises...

The three of them were just on their way to Xadia to return Zym when Callum falls over and Rayla finds out he's quite ill. She tries to take care of him without doing anything awkward, and the two of them try to battle it out...together. Short Rayllum fluff story.

It's their first Christmas after Sarai's death and Harrow wants to let Callum and Ezran know it can still be special.

He returns with a new name, and as a prisoner and criminal for crimes against Katolis - but before he can be tried, ends up on a journey with a brother he doesn't know, and a moonshadow elf assassin who hasn't killed anyone. There's nothing wrong with being scared of the thing that almost killed you, even if you feel like you shouldn't be. Don't let the fear consume you. The group just won the battle against Virens army of monster at the spire and the dragon queen woke back up to see her baby Zym being returned to her. Now it's time to build bridges across the rift between elves and human which existed for almost a thousand years. And nobody knows what Viren, Claudia and Aaravos are up too.

My speculation for what could happen in season 3, read at your own risk. Is Callum the first human mage to have connected to the primal sources? What does this mean for the delicate relationship between humans, and the elves and dragons?

Katolis had the most skilled soldiers of all the Pentarchy, certainly, however… The Raiders were warriors, and there was a key difference there that Callum was sure to note. Afterall… "Soldiers follow their orders, but warriors follow their hearts. Make sure you always follow your heart, little warrior."

The spell worked, and it felt right after an entire lifetime of everything feeling wrong, and he was - is-the wing. Rayla leads the journey into Xadia, and Callum tries and fails to ignore the growing itch on his back, the building charge in his heart, and the fact that nomatter how he tries, eidetic memory or not, he can't for the life of him remember his first father's face.

Of the four shadows Viren sent out to the other human kingdoms, only one failed in its mission.

Soren's morning workouts are a vital part of his daily routine, for his mind as well as his muscles. A baby dragon tag-along is usually not part of the plan, but there's a first time for everything.

She was never meant to be a mage. She was a princess; that was her duty. But now, here she was, far away from any home she had ever known, learning the ways of magic. She never expected that she would fall for an enemy. But, then again, fate works in mysterious ways, doesn't it? (Rated T for violence and angst)

Volcanic mountains, bosky plains, acarpous deserts, rapid rivers, ebullient seas—you name it; you'll get lost in it. It was no place your ordinary human would visit, but Callum wasn't your ordinary human. He was ready to face the perils of Xadia even if Rayla wasn't the best tour guide.

Even after the war ended, some people still don't get the message that humans and elves can live among each other peacefully, and Rayla feels this every day with the reminder of "Knowing her place" from some people. For ten years after magic vanished from the world, Callum and Rayla traveled Xadia and the Pentarchy in a struggle for survival. Witness ten snippets of the most pivotal moments on that long journey. A companion piece to "When Magic Vanished," elaborating on what Rayla and Callum were up to in the decade between returning Zym to his mother and reuniting with Ezran.

Response to Capty Fanfic. Callum and Ezran left for the lodge before the assassins ever came. The king has died and the princes learn of his demise at the hands of the elves. When they meet an elf who wants to make things right, will they do so.

She was supposed to fix her mistake, for Xadia, for her queen. But when it came down to it, she couldn't do it. He was an innocent, just a boy. So she took him with her. Runaan and his team of assassins discovers that Rayla has defied him. Again. But when they find her, not only could she not kill the king, but she had ended up kidnapping his son, Prince Ezran.

Magic vanished from the world without warning and for no apparent reason two days after Ezran departed back to Katolis. The world is plunged into chaos and war. A decade later, Callum and Rayla finally return from Xadia to save their newborn daughter's life. Ezran comes to believe they may have also brought the first step towards peace, and maybe something more.

Continuing from where Rayla and Callum crossed over to Xadia, we will see what wider influence Aaravos has upon the world at large. Characters will face more Lovecraftian themed monsters as Zym makes his way back to the other dragons. There will be some Rayllum, but the main focus will be action/horror.

My take on the 3rd Season of The Dragon Prince. As Callum and Rayla press on to return Azymondias back to the Dragon Queen, Ezran must return to face his destiny to rule as King of Katolis. But dark forces continue to stir, leading the world forward into an inevitable war. Will they succeed or shall the world be engulfed in chaos?

Rayla sees her daughter struggling with her archery skills and decides to help her out with some encouragement to her.

Five years since the war passed. Five years since she joined the Dragon Guard. Five years since she saw either of the princes. Rayla doesn't consider herself blessed. How could she lose so much of herself and gain nothing back? The war has come and gone, and still she's counting her losses. When Callum is seventeen, the Dragon King lies dead. When he is not quite eighteen, the assassins come. In an empty tower beside a not-so-empty magic mirror, Callum makes a promise. He doesn't expect to see her again after she chases him down a hallway and corners him in a tower and he escapes through a painting. Heck, he barely expects them to become friends while on their journey. They argue too much, they don't have any common interests, and they're from two completely different worlds. But he finds that maybe, just maybe, that can change.

While traveling in Xadia, Callum notices the Key of Aaravos reacting strangely to an old well. His attempts to see what's at the bottom of it don't go well. A blatant homage to an old but unforgotten web series.

Dreams too real to be just imagination. Ancient forces too strong to understand. As their mission takes them deeper into the heart of Xadia and growing tensions threaten to throw the kingdoms into all-out war, Callum and Rayla have to face one truth they can't escape: Xadia is no place for humans.

One morning of their travels into Xadia, Rayla asks Callum for a favor.

"But you can rise where your parents have fallen." Rayla stopped her struggling. She glanced up at him. Runaan said, "I will train you. You will be my student and protege. You will be strong and no one shall question you. Your parents' failure will be irrelevant to your success."

Callum wouldn't trade them for anything in the world.

A scene which leapt into my head while watching the flashbacks in Season 2, Episode 5. Well, actually the one that leapt into my head was even meaner than this. In this version, Viren uses his words to point out a problem King Harrow is creating, instead of leaping to solve it via dark magic.

My "what if" story for the season 2 finale of The Dragon Prince. WHAT IF Rayla didn't get embarrassed when Callum woke up, but took out her overflowing emotions on him?

Rayla, Ezran and Callum complete their mission and bring peace to Xadia. Soon after, negotiations for the alliance begin, but certain elven traditions require interesting terms to the treaty: an arranged marriage! (rayllum)

Callum barely remembers the words Rayla told him when he was swimming through the magic-induced nightmare. He wants to know if there's anything she wanted to add. The results are not what he expected, but he's relieved that their friendship will survive this misunderstanding. Contains spoilers for Season 2 and an AroAce character.

Being on the run is a hard job that Rayla is prepared to handle as long as certain needs are met. She deviates from her sleeping friends and takes a much needed bath in a small salt pond while her suit cleans itself. It, has a protective mist against insects and is very peaceful for a tired elf. If only her stupid dragon could go two minutes without her. (A peek at the future)
