Also, just as a general thing, I'm awful at responding. I read everything but I hardly ever respond--I make an effort to, and it's something I'm constantly working on in my daily life (as this extends more than just to online messages) but it's very much a work in progress. It's 100% not you but entirely me. I am crap at responding. However, know that I read every review, every PM, every message, every notification/alert I get on stories, and each one makes my day and I truly do appreciate all of it. I used to be super responsive when I was younger on here but the older I've gotten, the worse I am at responding and even reviewing. Like I said, I'm trying to get better at it, though. I have been writing on Second Chance again. I've been writing on all four of my Naruto stories again, so that's a thing. I've been reworking the plot for Second Chance so it's a very slow process and I'm no closer to giving an actual date of posting it but it's not dead. I will 100% finish it. As a general life update, I've graduated college, gotten a full-time job, live with my brother, and have two dogs now. As anyone else who works full-time knows, there isn't a lot of time left in the day by time you're home and chores are done and dinner is made and all of that... anymore, I think I get about two hours at night during the weekday to write/relax/play games/draw/etc. That's not a lot of time to write.

Part of me sincerely misses college because there was more in-between time to write and relax, and after homework, I had time to write at home. Now, even when I want to write, I can't. I simply don't have the time and I can't stay up late and be exhausted the next morning to write like I used to do in school--I can't risk screwing up at my job. I don't, however, miss the never-ending stress and the feeling that there is ALWAYS something more I could be doing for my classes. It's a bitter feeling because back when I was in school, I had more time to write, but the stress and the constant paper writing/textbook reading/critical thinking was draining--mentally and creatively. I couldn't write when I was in college, especially when I got to my final two years of school. I know I didn't write hardly anything my senior year of college because there was just never anything left in me to write. I'd stare at my writing blankly, too exhausted to even try and process a thought.

Now, though, when I want to write--the words are in me and are clawing to get out--I have to go to bed right as I find my rhythm. It leaves weekends and I just have so many other things to do on the weekends. I tell myself each time that Friday rolls around that "this weekend, I'll just sit down and write and write and write for hours" but it never happens. There is yard work, house projects, cleaning, grocery shopping, hanging out with friends, events to go to... I truly do want to find the time to sit down and write but it just never goes the way I want.

Nonetheless, Second Chance isn't dead. I'm currently re-writing the chapters I have written and not posted (I've rewritten chapter 28 and it's completed and I'm working through chapter 29) but I have no intention of posting anything until I get several more chapters written and the plot concretely hammered out. I don't expect to post anything until I'm up to about chapter 40. My thought process is, though, that once I get writing and into the flow of the story better, writing will become much faster. Earlier this year, I re-read the whole story to get a good feel for what I had written, too, to remember how the characters were. It's all a big work in progress but I've at least overcome the major problem with my lack of writing and that was Naruto in general. The ending of the series ruined my inspiration for literally years. I'll forever hate the ending and what happened but I've come to a point where I legitimately don't care about canon anymore. It makes it far easier to write now lol

Okay, that's all for this super long update. I'll probably keep this one up for awhile until I get ready to post chapters for Second Chance again. Who knows when that will be, though.
