Ah that was so beautiful. You did the original stories and the couple justice. Thanks for this piece! One little thing, not criticism, just an opinion: when you refer to characters as "lover" or "life-partner", you tend to overuse it. Sometimes, it would read better if you just referred to them by name.
I really loved the parallel you did between Kaya and Sakura, with the Uchiha crush and the like of older men (their sensei). Wish there were some more stories for this, when Kaya is older and perhaps Sakura has another child.
