Pairings (and why)

Harry Potter

Harry/Luna- They're just so adorable, they suit each other well and I think that Luna lets Harry be himself without having to worry about what the world thinks of him.

Draco/Hermione- They're JUST SO CUTE, and also I like to think that Hermione would bring out the best in Draco and Draco would help to rein in some of Hermione's more zealous traits and get her to think beyond her personal prejudices. (My friend ships them harder than I do and it was thanks to her that I started truly appreciating how deep their relationship could be)

Neville/Susan Bones- I just really like this, because I could see Susan bringing Neville out of his shell, I always saw him as the Badger among Lions and I think Susan could help him see why exactly he went to Gryffindor instead of Hufflepuff.

Remus/Narcissa- I see them as a really viable and under appreciated couple, they're both so loyal and good at hiding secrets that I see them as having secretly been dating at Hogwarts but separating due to family pressure on Narcissa part

Charlie/Tonks- I have no proper reasoning except to say I think they'd make a cute couple.

Sirius/ Amelia Bones- ... :D I have a weird sense of romance, but I mean who doesn't love the story about the wrongly convicted criminal seducing the strict by the book law-man/woman?

Harry/Hermione- This was my original favourite pairing until I started reading some of the other fics and now it's relegated to second fiddle. I see Hermione as the only person capable of getting Harry out of his funk and in a good mood. I DON'T CARE WHAT ANYONE SAYS IN CANON THEY WERE A TOTALLY VIABLE NON-SIBLING RELATIONSHIP...

Draco/Luna- My other second fiddle pairing, they seem so good for each other that I can't help but like it.

Minerva/Mad-Eye- ...They. Are. Just. Too. Too. There are no words to describe why I like this pairing. I'm pretty sure that if I could I would make JK pair them in the books.

James/Lily- My friend will kill me (she's hard core Snily) but I'll live with it. They rule, they both grew up and matured and came to see the positive points in each other, I love their story because it shows that people can change and become better than they were in school and that gives me hope.

Hermione/Weasley Twins- This is my guilty ship, it makes me strangely happy and I don't know why. Ah well.

Naruto

Naruto/Hinata- Hinata believed in him and loved him longer than anyone else ever did, she always had faith in his ability to make his dreams reality, and I think deep inside Naruto always knew that if everyone else left he could rely on Hinata to be there. (IT'S CANON! I can now die happy, no matter how much other people complain)

Kakashi/Anko- They're both a little broken and a little twisted and I love to imagine how they could help each other

Minato/Kushina- I don't think I even need to describe why this is the best pairing ever.

Naruko(FemNaruto)/Shikamaru- ...Um I have no explanation for this one so just. Just don't.

Shikamaru/Temari- So Darn Cute... also Canon now.

Neji/Tenten- I could see Tenten totally mellowing Neji out and making him laugh... (I cried... a lot, but that's why there's fanfic)

Jiraiya/Tsunade- I see theirs as a kinda unrequited thing on both sides where they just don't want to admit to loving each other.

FullMetal Alchemist

Roy/Riza- This is my true OTP, They are just too perfect for words so I won't even begin to attempt it

Alphonse/Mei Chang- SUCH CUTENESS

Edward/Winry- She waited for him and he fought for her what more is there to say.

Hughes/Gracia- He loved her so much and she loved him right back and then there were those stupid episodes THAT NEVER HAPPENED and it crushed a little bit of my heart and always will.

Fuery/ Scheska- I see them as the nervous nerdy couple who just fall in love without realising.

One Piece

Luffy/Nami- He trusted her with his hat. Nuff said.

Zoro/ Robin- They just seem so cute together

Ussop/Kaya- It's all written in Ussop (the most cowardly of all the Straw Hats) being willing to face Kuro for her.

Smoker/ Ace- Oh Batman this this ship right here is my One Piece OTP... It just is... because it's awesome... and brilliant. And funny and sometimes sad and Perfect.

Random Ships

River Tam/ Riddick- I love them. I ship them so much, it's a thing of beauty and grace and killing shit, which I find wonderful. (Firefly, Chronicles of Riddick Pitch Black)

Gundam Wing

Heero/ Duo- They make me happy alright just don't question it. Duo makes Heero a little more human and Heero makes Duo a little less bound by his past.

Quatre/ Trowa- ... They're cute and perfect don't judge me.

Bleach

Ichigo/ Rukia- I just like them together, they have an amusing dynamic.

Ichigo/ Kisuke Uruhara- Again don't judge me I'm strange.

Rukia/ Renji- They'd work.

Then of course there are the Fandoms that just have far too many pairings that I can't choose between and will thus not write on here. I don't often list my pairings if they're all canon, with exceptions of course because sometimes I just have to rhapsodise.

My Stories and where I'm at... also Ideas for later.

-Strange Family- Chapter 13 is in progress... it starts off in Hermione's point of view, so that's something new

-The Boys- I'm planning to write out The Wedding of Prongs and Lily-Flower at some point, so lets cross our fingers about that. Also thinking of writing a few fics from the Marauders years at school maybe in a different story though... hmmm

The ideas I have going are just going to be named what they are on my computer, (Strange Family is Harry Potter Fanfic 1) So...

-There's Harry Potter Fanfic 3- which is a post seventh book, story but the events of the seven years at Hogwarts need to be written up as they form the basis for the actual story. The basic idea is this: Harry, Neville and Draco have been best friends since first year, however, they have kept this fact hidden. After the final battle as everyone around them celebrates their group (The MisSorted) escapes England, revealing the truth to select adults (Narcissa, Andromeda, The Grangers and Xenophilius). The part I need to write is the in school years and the ways they hid their friendships and relationships, while also looking at how they were affected by them. The part I tend to focus on more is their recovery, the nightmares and PTSD the ways that they cope with finally letting go of the masks that have defined and protected them for so many years.
Here's a drabble from what I've written so far:

"Mask

One minute they stood clustered around the portkey, tall and strong and proud. The next they split. Draco threw himself length-wise on the couch, Harry slumped down where he stood, Neville lead Susan over to a chair. Blaise and Hannah hugged tightly; the Twins leaned against a wall as Hermione bustled from one person to another and Luna knelt at by the chair she had sat her father in. The arrogance had shattered into a lethargy, the soldier had fallen into a scared boy, the flightiness was now care, the anxiety had faded to competancy. Disguises were gone all that remained was the truth."

- There's a Torchwood Fic, in which Ianto and Suzie met as teenagers and became friends, which has an impact on the way they deal with Torchwood, Ianto has a support person for losing Lisa, Suzie doesn't feel the need to kill people and resurrect them with the gauntlet. Of course this also leads to Ianto not feeling like he has to work at Torchwood 3, but through a series of coincidences does. He and Suzie don't really tell the others that they're friends and it's left to them to find out. I don't really know where I'm going with it or even if I'll post it up, but meh.

- There are also several Naruto ones, which I still can't write fight scenes for. Naruto FF1 follows Sasuke and Sakura as newly minted genin getting to know the Sensei of their 3 man cell, Hatake Kakashi and also trying to figure out who the mysterious Naruto that Kakashi bribes into training them in the morning is. Also they want to know what Naruto's relationship with Sasuke's older brother ANBU Captain Itachi is as the two often show up together to nag ramen out of Kakashi. Naruto is eventually convinced to help train the other genin teams as well and it is eventually revealed that he is Itachi's partner and fellow ANBU Captain despite his statement that he is retired.

-Naruto Fanfic entitled meh follows Naruto, Shikamaru and Hinata as a 'genin team' who were trained from a very young age as ANBU members and then sent on an undercover mission to guard Sasuke. It is mostly about them showing the other genin that they aren't as weak/lazy/stupid as they presented themselves to be. I don't know it's my favourite to work on but I'm terrible at explaining things. I blogged a bit about the back story here.
