![]() Author has written 9 stories for Yu Yu Hakusho, Jak and Daxter, Hetalia - Axis Powers, and Harry Potter. I'm getting more active, which is nice and empowering. So I figured I'd start filling out my profile... This may take a while. I do intend to eventually finish Lady of Spargus. I love Shalakina, so much that I spawned an original world off of her. It's where I base my DnD campaigns. It will be hard, since she's developed since then, but I'll hopefully get to it eventually. Yaoi isn't my primary beta's cup of tea. He is, however, able to enjoy Café by Faust VII, so I'm going to try and keep any and all romance at about that level or below for equality purposes. My secondary beta would love it if I had it, but I like keeping both of them. With the exception of Original Characters, any of my ideas are up for inspiration fodder. So long as my fics aren't taken verbatim, you can take the premise or any sub-idea (like Harry having a Mad Scientist as an ancestor, or the anti-bureaucracy wards). Just give me a shout out, and send me a link. I hate bashing. It's usually just annoying bits that add nothing to the plot, and is just as easily skipped. Go ahead and show a character's darker side and highlight it as dark, but not if it derails the plot. It's worse if the person is OOC to do it. Since I'm being active in Harry Potter, I will discuss some of my opinions on it. I'll get to other fandoms later. Rowling was best at making episodic villains. Lockhart and Umbridge were pure genius craftsmanship. A straight, literal reading of the books, concludes that Harry is a heteroromantic asexual who happens to be able to reproduce. This is probably because it is a kids book, but the point stands. If you want Harry want to have sex with anyone, he is already doing something he never did or even hinted at in the books, regardless of if it is het or slash. As such, go nuts, but don't be hypocritical about it. Ron was a prat, but he wasn't evil. He is well within believable redeeming. Hermione can be obnoxious, but she too is redeemable, even easier than Ron. The trouble with Hermione is that she trusts authority too much; as any proper Ravenclaw can tell you, you don't know it unless you can whip it out and prove it, and you don't deserve respect until you do so. The romance with Ginny came out of nowhere and had no build-up. I was so confused the first time I read the books and saw it. Fortunately, she isn't a creepy stalker (unlike Sakura from Naruto and Amy Rose from Sonic), but she isn't that far from it. Dumbledore probably isn't evil... but he is a manipulative douche, good intentions or no. My Plot-Bunnies: Making Stuff: Harry learns by making things. He's good at anything that results in a finished product, and OK at everything else. But he is really good at making things, mainly because he works so hard at it. Asexual!Harry Huffelpuff!Harry Harry Potter RPG: LFG: Harry dies, and finds he is the only version of himself to defeat Voldemort. So he has to replay all his other selves. The Powers That Be were nice enough to give him a videogame interface though. And he can unlock Party Members into the overall quest! First Step: Invite Luna to the Yule ball so she can have a fabulous night... and join his party so he doesn't go crazy. (Needs more Achievements) Mermaid Harry: At the age of three, Harry and Dudley are the only survivors of a plane crash into the Ocean. They are taken in by Merfolk and blood adopted, but they are required to become ambassadors for magical creatures when they come of age. Return of Slytherin: Salazar lost his temper and went for a walk to cool down. After stumbling into a fairy ring, he parties for ten days straight and comes back to Hogwarts a thousand years later in Harry's fifth year. Salazar was misunderstood... Wait, what do you mean he can't beat naughty children? That's how discipline works. Fine, he'll make them muck out the stables... What happened to the stables? Shouldn't there be more? |
