Last Updated: 6/5/2020 - Added the newest part of Thrice Gone recently, and earlier today, the first chapter of Tremors, which is part of my 30kisses submissions, for theme #27, "overflow." I came up with the idea for Tremors years ago and just decided to write it the other day, and here we are, 11,000 words later, and here I am wondering "Why did I pick the theme overflow for this one? Or what does 'overflow' have to do with the plot?" I can't remember. You tell me! What's next? I'm leaning toward Chapter 2 of Mayonaka no Rendezvous, and then I'll see where my muse takes me. Previous Update 4/15/2020 - How's everyone holding up during these crazy times? Like a lot of other folks out there, I'm among the "vulnerable" population susceptible to complications from the coronavirus, so I've been more or less holed up for the past month or so. I know fanfiction can be a great escape, both for readers and writers, and I've been coming back to FFnet periodically to read nice, long fics with a good amount of romance, angst, hurt/comfort... all my favorite genres, rolled into one! It's the day after my [REDACTED] birthday, and a LOT has changed over the years since I last updated this profile. Let's see: I've now got a Master's, am married, own two businesses, and have two adorable fur babies (cats. They're cats). "Adulting" can be really frustrating at times, so I sincerely apologize for the large gap of time between updates for my stories. Rest assured, I'm not dead, they're not dead, and I really do want to finish my fics. I just posted Mayonaka no Rendezvous (Midnight Rendezvous), yet another Azureshipping fic. I wrote it back in 2018 for Azure Week (which happens on the midpoint between Anzu [8/18] and Seto's [10/25] birthdays, in about the second week of September or so). I totally thought I posted it here, but... oops! That could certainly explain why some people thought I didn't post anything for Azure Week... ;_; It's a first for me in that I decided to try my hand at writing from Anzu's perspective: that is, first-person POV. The way it stands, it's technically a vague hurt/comfort fic tinged with light romance, and while it could stand on its own, I keep thinking about it, and I'd want to continue it if there's interest. (That's not to say I won't be working on my various other WIPs, just that it's good to have things to alternate to when I feel stuck.) This is also the first fic that I attempted to design a cover for! Let me know what you think. I also posted the first chapter of a weird crossover I started about four years ago: The Speed of You, an Initial D x Yu-Gi-Oh! crossover. For some reason I like doing crossovers with Anzu, and then slowly introducing other Yu-Gi-Oh! characters to other universes. If you've been to an arcade in the last 20 years, you've probably seen an Initial D racing game. It's based off the anime and manga of the same name, and while I'm not a huge fan of the art style, I do like the drama that comes from car racing. There's no fantasy in Initial D, and very little romance, while there's ton of fantasy and technically no romance in Yu-Gi-Oh!. So what do I do? COMBINE THE TWO! It'll pair Anzu off with an Initial D character before she makes her way back to the OTP: Anzu and Kaiba, of course! Sorry that I can't use any clickable links in here, but apparently FFnet's overlords have decided to strip most URLs from their system to "avoid spam." sigh Blue Eyes and Apricots - The TAFL-approved fanlisting for Seto Kaiba x Anzu Mazaki: find it at blueeyes [DOT] seventh-star [DOT net Review Replies - now on the official What Doesn't Kill You site -- will be migrating existing Review Replies from LiveJournal soon! This way, regardless of where you read my fanfics (because I do post them on a ton of websites), you can always check there to see if there have been any recent updates. I'm contemplating including 3 links on the status page: one for FFnet, one for AO3, and one for my own website. Let me know what you think! NEW SITES: I've WordPress-ized many of my old websites, which is yet another work-in-progress. But from here on out, any epic fanfics I write, such as WDKY, will have their own website. So check out for more as they appear--for right now, it's got tons of fanlistings and several other goodies. Posted a teaser of the first chapter of "Thrice Gone." It's also up on Tumblr, LiveJournal, Dreamwidth, and Archive of Our Own. Let me know what you think! "Only 16" has been deleted. I wanted to keep the original story up for as long as possible while I uploaded revisions, but the revisions sitting alongside the original story just made things confusing and bad. The story will return, with a new title, the same great plot, and MUCH MUCH better writing. Stay tuned. Want to know how long an incomplete fanfic is supposed to be?
