Author has written 1 story for Harry Potter. Hi, I'm 25, danish and a big fan of R.K. Rowling and Tamora Pierce fanfiction. I've been skating FanFiction along with other sites for the last couple of years, enjoying the various contributes by talented people who shares their own twists and turns of the characters we all love. I, myself, have been writing snippets of fanfiction through the years, but my Muse is very fickle, and so I haven't yet managed to do justice to just one story at a time, but jumped between numerous. It seems, however, that my Muse has finally accepted an offering, and so I will be starting to post my story to my fellow fanfic'ers hopefully enjoyment and entertainment. It should be said that my favourite cannon character in the Harry Potter universe is not the young, depressed and frankly rather annoying hero, Mr. Harry James Potter himself, but rather the dark, snarky, oftentimes creepy and always exceedingly intelligent Potions Master Severus Snape, and so he is the centre of my attention. I would also like to make clear that you choose to read my stories voluntarily. They will not always humour common consensus, and there will be serious bashing of certain characters, among these will be the Marauders, Lily - yes, you read correctly - Dumbledore, the Malfoys, and, if I get around to write stories in that timeframe, the Golden Trio. I am the kind of person who cheers for the underdog - or, as I know he absolutely hate the fleabitten buggers - undersnakes, and simply cannot stand the judgemental, righteous, holier-tahn-thou types, among which I most certainly count those mentioned above. We're all human - except Remus Lupin - and everyone makes mistakes. Am I the only one who thinks Lily reacted completely over the top at The Lake Accident, where Severus calls her a you-know-what? I mean, okay, it's a nasty word and I do not particularly like to be called names, but come on! The poor guy was hanging upside down with his undies visible to his pears, he was getting bullied (again!!) by his worst enemies, and getting rediculed for being defended by a girl, and this at a point of time where women's rights were still relatively new, despite the fact we got the right to wote back in 1915. So he lashed out in anger and humiliation. Lily has known Severus since they were 9 years old. That's 11 years of close friendship she just throw out the window because of a stupid action mediated by outside influences. It just rub me the wrong way, how Severus is always presented as the big sinner, simply because of that and because he grabbed a chance to get recognition and respect with the Death Eaters. Not the brightest decision, no, but he was not exactly welcomed on the other side, now was he? I also speculate if the two of them has had other, more private arguments about House politics, and this was simply the last straw. We only ever get the facts on what Severus did wrong, but what if Lily were as guilty as he was? We'll never know, but I think she is. Otherwise, if she was this great, loving and forgiving soul, then why can't she forgive her best friend a mistake in the spur of the moment? But enough ranting. I hope I have not offended anyone, but if I have I would like to point out that we all have the right to express our different opinions, and that reading my info and my stories are voluntary, and if you do not like it, you can stop reading, close the window or simply more on to material more to your taste. For those who are open to a more cynical, more vindictive and not quite so self-demeaning Severus Snape, I hope you will enjoy my tribute to one of Fictions greater personalities. |
