I was really impressed with Ron in this chapter. He's gone from being King Prat at the beginning of the story to an admirable character. It's good to watch the character grow.

Poor Lavender. It's never nice being dumped, no matter how caringly. I think, though, that Ron is right about everyone who fought needing help with their darkness because her reaction isn't exactly entirely rational.

I kinda hate you went with making Lavender like this when Ron will probably end up with Susan the author needs to make Lav come off as shallow when she really was with Ron when he was a ass.

glad Ron is taking the right turn even though he did explain himself well she is too far into her darkness and hurting now. hope he goes to the Malfoys for help to either stop the article or damage control. the meal with the family will be thrilling to read.

Outstanding effort in bringing about the transition of Ron from self-centered, Darkness motivated arse to a more honorable mental and emotional state. I found it interesting how you used the "dubbing" ceremony between Ron and Lucius, it's a unique facet that actually makes a good deal of sense. Lucius will be able to lead Ron into a far better understanding of Slytherin politics, thus opening the door for Ron to be a stronger, more qualified Auror in the long run. It's rather a miracle that Ron realized that he had much to learn from Lucius, and that Lucius was willing to offer the guidance Ron seeks. I only hope that Percy will see the positive difference that the Malfoys influence can bring for his family, and not be obstinate.

I would hope that Kingsley would jump on that DA situation immediately, beginning with Lavender, otherwise I'm concerned about her vindictive nature. All of them under the influence of the Darkness need to be taken care of rapidly, so the Darkness can truly Be defeated.
