Some about me: I don't easily fit into any category in particular. I'm old enough to have three teen-aged boys but have been mistaken for my eldest's's girlfriend. He didn't like that too much.

As an udergrad I majored in a little of everything and graduated--in four years--with a quadruple major. Yeah, really. The I proceeded to take on grad work in totally different areas. After my PhD, I spent 16 years as a college professor in education and counseling. Currently I am writing full time, doing what I've always wanted to do. Go figure.

My other artsy pursuits include photography, cooking, and scrap booking.

I earned my first black belt in tae kwon do with my kids seven years ago and a second black belt in Tai Chi, including the Chinese Fighting Fan a couple of years after that.

My stories: I've been writing since I was 10. By the time I graduated HS I'd written several individual novels and a trilogy for my friends. Sci fi/fantasy were and are my favorite genres. Those efforts are in a box in the closet and will likely stay there.

Non-JAFF on Fiction Press: Currently I've got three stories up. Storm Watch, Storm Season and Eye of the Storm are a sci fi trilogy, the third part is nearly finished posting. My main character, Ari, is at the most basic level, a survivor. But survival has its costs. These are stories of the journey of turning survival into something more like victory.
