Author has written 4 stories for Naruto, and Harry Potter. Damn, my profile has looked like *expletive* for the last few years, hasn't it? ^^; I apologize. I should start off anew. My name is Anne and you can pretty much disregard my username here. I'd change it, but I've grown fond of it so I guess it's a keeper. :) (A warning I should probably get out of the way right now is that I use a lot of emoticons, and usually it's always the same ones. If that really annoys you, well...I could try to stop but chances are I'd still do it anyway. Lol.) So, a bit of biography or...not? I'm an eighteen year old Vietnamese American and I'm majoring in Secondary English Education come this Fall. I'm not too inclined to be a teacher and nor am I that interested in pursuing English as my major, but when pressured by teachers and counselors, I just picked something I figured I was good at. ^-^ I've been writing fanfiction since I was twelve, and my first story ever was "Happenings," which is a very good example of how crappy I was. However, I think preteens are allowed to make mistakes and I made many. In fandom this day and age, most people get annoyed to see a preteen write a fic, but I figure if you really don't like it, just don't read their fics, yeah? Anyway, I don't intend to ever finish "Happenings," which I have not touched since...well...a while. Let's leave it at that. During middle school I stopped writing in favor of reading fanfics, and eventually gained the confidence to pick up writing fanfics again, although this time I wrote for Korean pop fanfics (DBSK, SJ, and the like). I wrote about 60 stories, but I'm crap at completing chaptered stories, so please bear with me if I even attempt one; I'm prepared to avoid them at all costs though. At around a year and a half ago (so from ages 15-16), I stopped writing fanfics because of an altercation with an annoying...someone. Since then I've avoided writing, but I've been reading plenty of fics in my spare time, so I'm sorry if I'm rusty. Something I dislike about myself is that I unconsciously judge any fanfiction I come across, and if it's a Harry Potter fanfic, I will mull the plot over and over again in my head until I like it and fix all the grammatical errors (if any) that I see until I deem the fic perfect. Of course, that's not to say some (not most) fics I've found are brilliant as they are, but I tend to mentally beta unbeta-ed work because I cannot stand typos and some punctuation errors (I make them too though). I wish I could say I'm not shit at writing, but I might be lying. Lol. I'm average, I hope. I used to write complex plot lines, but most of my old readers never understood the deeper meaning hidden in my work and that made me go...D: Yeah...so here's to hoping I'll revert back to being a fanfiction.net user. This http:/// is a link to my old stories. They're all about Korean pop bands though, so you'd probably be uninterested in them, unless you wanted a taste of my writing in a different...setting? Hm... I'm sorry for the seemingly ultra-long profile btw, but compared to what is was before, well, it's an improvement. Really...it is. *guilt* Oh yes, I forgot to mention that I do not usually like to write smut (notice the word 'usually'). I'm not sure if that'll change now that I intend to write for the HP fandom, but hey, guess time will only tell, right? I also do not like people who give me links to their stories, or beg me to read their stories. Don't you find that annoying? Thank you to all who review my stories. You guys are totally awesome! |
