NAME: just call me lin.

Basic information about myself: I am 26 years old, I live in Windhoek, Namibia which is in Africa. I wrote my first story when I was 10 years old and then continued writing up until my last year of high school. Then life happened and I kind of lost my passion for writing, but I found it again after I discovered this site last year and I couldn't be happier about it. I have only watched Beyblade and Dragonball Z and wrote stories on both but I seriously doubt that I will publish any Dragonball Z stories.

My first language is Afrikaans, which is almost like dutch, but with literature I am more comfortable in English; my parents already know that if they want to buy me books to read, they should be in English. I don't know what else to say really, I am kind of private. just one more thing: I am not one of those authors that asks for ideas or new characters; my story lines are all my ideas and I can never start with a story if I do not know how I want to end it, and I guess that is all.

I am almost on this for a year now and I really cannot complain. My love for writing had returned, my heading buzzing with so many ideas, and I am still loving and enjoying this beyblade fanfiction a lot, especially the Kai-centered ones, at least i am not the only one :-)

So far I have uploaded five stories and I hope to continue to upload more, especially my next big one, The Black Phoenix of Russia, because I am very excited about it. It will be dark, so not suitable for younger children, sorry. It is going to be one long story as their are so many things happening, but it is worth it; the ending is going to be epic! I really want to finish it before I start uploading because I want to do an update every week or two weeks, depending on the length of the chapters.

A little more about me: Metal music if my first love, but depending on my mood, I can listen anything from gospel, to traditional chinese music, country to rave, hip-hop, classical goth to just regular classic, it all depends on my mood, but yeah, I am always in the mood for metal and good old classic rock, 80's rock is the best!

Right now I am 27 years old, and it may be too old to still be writing beyblade fiction but in my country we don't really have anime on our TV's, the only ones that I have watched is Beyblade, Dragonball Z, excluding cartoon network because our cartoon network differs from the rest of the world because it is controlled from South Africa. I did, however, discover a website where all types of anime is shown, all of their seasons, so maybe, if I have the time and the patience, I might start watching them and who knows, I might write other fanfiction stories other than beyblade.

As you can already see from my stories, I just absolutely love Kai; he really is fun to write about, although it can get real difficult in keeping him in character. Some prefer Kai as the angst teenager, or the quiet good guy; me, I just love him as the bad guy, the worst of the worst, as it is fun to write the bad guy, and in my story that I am working on right now, he is one horrible person that deserves to die a horrible death, but that is just how I like to depict him. Another thing about Kai, is that whenever he appears in a story of mine, he will look like he did in season 1, unless I state otherwise.

Something interesting that I do which I know almost everyone does, is that I always put some little piece of myself into my stories, maybe some will pick it up, maybe not. I know that I pick it up easily whenever I read a good story and it makes me proud that aspiring writers take it so seriously, connecting with their work, their art, and yes, I do believe that writing is an art because not everyone has the talent to create a whole new world with new characters and to express powerful situations with words only, so I would like to give a shout out to all the writers out there: BE PROUD OF YOUR WRITING, whether you are struggling or not, be proud because it is your own and no one can ever take it away from you. LOVE YOUR WRITING SKILLS AND YOUR LOVE FOR WRITING AND READING.

Also, those who might be interested, I also have an account on Fictionpress.com also under this name (Linvn89) and there I have published a few poems that I have written over a course of four years, all very emotional poems. I might also publish a few original stories there, depends how I proceed with my current project.

Well, I can't think of anything else to say right now, maybe next time I update my profile, which mat be in a year's time again.

UPDATED - 03/09/2018

Well, what can I say, other than I am still so very happy to be on this site, despite being a 29 year old woman now :-) I am also at the dirty thirties, but I am still a teenager at a heart, a 17 year old teenager.

Last time I had updated my profile I had not posted The Black Phoenix of Russia yet, but I am really happy about it and the response that I am getting. It is really dark, like in really dark but people still enjoy it so I must be doing something right.

I have met some wonderful people on this site, and I wish that we all could just meet at least once in this lifetime because it always warms my heart to learn of other writers, and also who still love Beyblade, despite Beyblade having lost its popularity.

Now, I honestly do not know what else to add to this. This update is actually just a spur of the moment thing, and I honestly have no idea when I will update it again.

JUST SOMETHING ABOUT MYSELF: I ALWAYS have something black on, even if it is just a hair braid, there is always something black on me as I just love black because the colour black suits me the best, but I am not a emo or goth; just a regular chick that loves black and anything that black represents, and I am also not a satanist as in my culture, the elder people believe if you like black and always wear black, then you worship the devil and I can guarantee you that I do not to that stuff. I am Christian and Jesus is the one I worship, and no where does it say that if you worship Him you are not allowed to love the colour black. Now a day, churches have the most sinners in them, the real devil worshipers as it is usually these people that like to sit in front of the church that hurt the innocent people the most and it is these people that give our Lord a bad name.
