Author has written 3 stories for A song of Ice and Fire. Vague Profile Stuff Well, for a start, I'm not very good at profiles. Here, have some vague facts about me that aren't really very helpful to anyone: I'm male. That cuts the number of people I could be roughly in half, I suppose. I'm British. There's a little flag somewhere on this profile page that tells you that anyway, so that's not very revelatory. I guess I see fanfiction as a good place to hone writing skills before putting them to the real test - writing original fantasy fiction. Admittedly, it's a little time-consuming to write almost every day, but it doesn't matter because I enjoy it massively. I mostly stick with the A Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones stuff, where I write, but I occasionally venture into other fandoms, such as Harry Potter and Doctor Who. Not really a shipper as such, but hey, some element of romance works well in almost any story, so you'll find them in mine, even if they're mostly accidental. My Fics The Changing of Seasons, Part I: A Coat of Gold (390,000 words): Part canon-continuation, part AU. Tyrion Lannister is freed from imprisonment for his involvement in the Purple Wedding. Tywin attempts to keep peace in the Kingdoms. Sansa Stark returns to King's Landing. Jaime Lannister attempts to remember who he is and prove himself a hero. Dany leaves Essos. Or, the one where I decided that it would be a really good idea to try and write a 200K fic as my first work, and am now looking at a 1.3M word series. In the words of Quentyn Martell: "Oh." The Changing of Seasons, Part II: The Sunset Kingdoms (640,000 words): Sequel to A Coat of Gold. The Targaryens have come to Westeros. Countless kings and factions fight for the Iron Throne and other prizes. The Starks attempt to reunite. Winter is coming. Or, the one where I decided to follow up A Coat of Gold with something infinitely more complex, convoluted and narratively unstoppable. It's like that period when you're just drinking for the sake of it. Planned Fics The Changing of Seasons, Part III: Hour of the Nightingale (est. 350,000 words): Planned sequel to The Sunset Kingdoms. The Ashen Prince, A Trueborn Baratheon Story: a new idea with a clever twist; possibly a community project. |
