Like the title says, this is a H/Hr-ISH version of HBP! It was my aim to set the foundation for H/Hr, and to show how weak H/G and R/Hr are portrayed in canon. NO SLASH. After Loki suddenly appears to help the Avengers fight and something goes wrong the entire team must try and save Tony and Loki from trouble while they and save themselves. A bit of swearing, mostly from Tony, and more angst and pain from Loki in later chapters.

AU. During that first pivotal fight in Jotunheim, Loki is hit with a poisoned dart. He collapses in the Observatory as Thor is banished, leaving Asgard without any heir and teetering on the brink of war. Now Frigga and Odin face the consequences of their deception, and still-mortal Thor is running out of time to save his brother's life.

Thor is the god of thunder, a mighty almost-warrior, and the future king of Asgard, and he most definitely does NOT believe in the spirit in Volstagg's story. Or does he?

When Sherlock, John, Donovan and Anderson find themselves locked in a small confined room, Sherlock's severe claustrophobia is exposed, revealing more about the detective than the three ever could have expected. With Ron gone, the Horcruxes nowhere in sight, and Voldemort's impending world domination looming over them, Harry and Hermione seek solace in each other, their friendship growing ever strong, as a gleam of something else starts shining through.

It is Aragorn's turn to cook for the fellowship, much to a certain elf's consternation.

No one in the history of Middle-earth has ever returned from mysterious Black Mountain. Now the mountain, silent for centuries, appears to be waking up, and Aragorn thinks it's time that he and Legolas go there to investigate. The twins join them.

After apparently taking a wrong turn in a mysterious forest, something happens to Legolas. Aragorn doesn't know what's wrong or what to do, so he takes the elf to his father in Rivendell, but Elrond has no answers, either.
