I was just scrolling through The Hobbit fandom, trying to find a unique summary, when I accidentally clicked this one (my toddler's fault actually) and really couldn't stop reading. It's an awesome filler between the two timeline. I don't know how to put it into words, bear with me. It's not really that emotional or anything, nothing tragic or over the top climax, it just fills the right places in my heart. This story and how it develops tied all the loose ends beautifully. Another thing. I love your take on elves. How they are totally the opposite of mortals (because of their age, culture, immortality, etc) but still has the common ground in Arda. I love your sons of Elrond so much. I like how you made them different yet still have air of similarities like all twins or close brothers did. They're playful, full of mirth, but not unnecessarily childish (they're relics to mortal I agree, but elves are immortal, so this is a perfect balance). And the last chapter is pure love, because you made it in Thranduil's POV. 3 Thank you for writing and sharing this story. |

Your writing is a work of art, it's so difficult to find well written fanfics but these are just superb. I enjoyed the development of Legolas outside the Greenwood and this last chapter just broke my heart! I've never been a huge Tauriel fan but I like what you did here. I would love to see more of this new Thranduil, but more importantly more of your writing! Thank you and all the best! |
