![]() Author has written 1 story for Hunger Games. Hi, I'm Abbey :) Music is my life. I play violin and piano, I sing (sorta), I write (music and stories) and I love to read. I love the Hunger Games with a passion, The Maze Runner, Divergent, the Gallagher Girls, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Heroes of Olympus, Artemis Fowl and Alex Rider, and heaps of other books. I'm a massive musicals nerd, and I love Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, I haven't seen Wicked yet but I'd love to, Cats, The Music Man, Sound of Music, etc etc... Some random facts about me: I'm left handed I've recently developed an obsession with Calvin and Hobbes comics I really, really hate text language I love playing Tetris I love Oreos I’m clumsy I love making people smile I use the word ‘quite’ way too often I love hugging people I don’t think I’ll ever really grow up If U Tlk Lyk Diss, I may be obliged to throw a dictionary at your head. I have a weird sense of humour and an overactive imagination I talk to myself a lot Autumn is my favourite season I dream of para-para-paradise I sing in the shower I ramble a lot I wear really big red glasses I’m scared of heights I love the dark I appreciate bubble wrap a whole lot more than what is probably normal Chaos is a close friend of mine Raisin cookies that look like chocolate chip cookies are the main reason I have trust issues My life is a whole lot of "Well...it seemed like a good idea at the time..." moments strung together I use sarcasm frequently, because beating the crap outta people is illegal I am quite simply a confused individual I’m convinced that Lady Gaga is an alien I like to make myself believe that planet Earth turns slowly I dislike gherkin. It's even an ugly word. I find happiness in the simplest of things I think that people who investigate strange noises in horror movies deserve to die If I could remember school work like I remember song lyrics, I'd be a genius I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realise that what you heard is not what I meant I really love it when someone remembers something I said a really long time ago Music speaks for me more than I speak for myself When I was little, I wanted to be a zebra when I grew up I am a procrastinator Storms with rain is my favourite weather The biggest lie I tell myself is, "I don't have to write that down, I'll remember it." I speak sarcasm as a second language I smile because I have no idea what's going on I frequently burst out in song If you tickle me, I'm not responsible for your injuries I deserve a Grammy for my amazing vocals in the shower I wish I could speak Italian Great Rules Of Writing: 1) Do not write sentences in negative form. 2) And don't start sentences with a conjunction. 3) If you reread your work, you will find on rereading that a great deal of repetition can be avoided by rereading. 4) Never use a big word when a diminutive one will do. 5) Unqualified superlatives are worst of all. 6) De-accession euphemisms. 7) If any word is improper at the end of a sentence, a linking verb is. 8) Avoid trendy locutions that sound flaky. 9) Last, but not least, avoid cliches like the plague. So that's me in a nutshell. Come and give me some company, I'm always up for a chat! |
