September 1st

Today I get my true love back. My Annie.

Or, at least, that's what they tell me.

I don't think I can stand another lonely night without her.

So here I wait. Tying knots. Untying. Retying. My fingers burn, but I don't care. All I want to see is my precious Annie.

I hope they didn't torture her more because of what I told Panem about Snow. No, they couldn't have. By the time the propo aired they were already rescuing her. Or maybe they weren't. Because they should be back by now.

Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding.

Midnight.

Why aren't they back yet?

Tying. Untying. Retying.

Haymitch just told Katniss and I that they are waiting down in the Hospital Ward to see us.

To see me.

My Annie is waiting to see me.

But I can't move.

I feel Katniss grab my free hand and pull me up gently, leading me out of the Hummingbird room and into the elevator.

We're there. Katniss is still guiding me through the Hospital to where Haymitch said they would be.

I'm searching everywhere.

Scanning the patients that the nurses and doctors are checking up on in the different rooms and hallways.

"Finnick!"

I whip around.

Her voice. That's her voice. Annie.

I push people out of the way and sprint towards my gorgeous girl, she's the only thing that matters right now.

It's just me and her.
