Just want to say that i while i liked some parts of the canon storyline sometimes the 'what if' just pops in our minds and has us thinking of the many possibilities and alternate takes on every reality it would happen in the cannon as well, really enjoy reading fics since they are fun to read once in a while and to see some good talent as well.
