just a note, canon shanks would've been in his mid to late twenties when he met luffy the first time, not his thirties

I don't know where the anime/manga was at this point, so this might not be entirely your fault, but I couldn't just not say anything about some things I found wrong about this chapter. These things might have been done on purpose as well but I doubt that. First of all, Shanks has Conqueror's Haki. This is shown at the beginning, when he scares of the sea king and when he meets Whitebeard, knocking out his crewmates and breaking the wood. The second thing I found wrong was when you said Shanks knew the Gomu Gomu no mi was one off the most powerful paramecias out there, and that's not true. Everyone thought that his fruit was close to being useless. Luffy's discoveries on the fruit's uses were his own. The third thing was that conqueror's haki can knock people unconscious and break the surroundings, but it can't be infused into weapons and body parts like Armament haki, or be able detect 'wills' or 'voices' like Observation haki. Again, these might have been done on purpose or you might not have known from the point the series was at, but if these aren't the reasons, then you really should watch/read more of the series before you write a fanfic on it.

What was the point in you writing him to have mastered Haki if he can’t even use it affectively ,I just dont get your thinking with this story, nobody can do anything , they can’t even defend themselves without worrying about hurting civilians, so dumb , and all this bi-polar shit and his crew being scared of him ,think I’m done with this over engineered story,you have removed the very essence of one piece .
