Poll: Who makes the best 'ship? Fassbinder and... Vote Now! |
Author has written 54 stories for Transformers, and Harry Potter. GREETINGS! Once upon a time, we were three crazy friends who all lived in Utah. Since the Botosphere's founding in 2009, we've wisely added two new writers. Three of us are blondes, two are redheads. All of us have studied at Brigham Young University. Between us, we have vehicles ranging from a bicycle to a GMC mudding truck that could pass for Ironhide's kid brother. Of the five of us, only one is from Utah. Make of that what you will, but it makes for some interesting writing styles. We can blame this entire collection on a single speculation. Two of us had seen Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen when the third joked that it would be funny to see a conspiracy theorist who ran across evidence of the Autobots. Two days later, the third friend saw the movie; three days later, Fassbinder and Sharsky (the conspiracy theorist roommates of Leo and Sam) ran across an Autobot's blog and the Botosphere was born. We consider everything from Dark of the Moon onward to be outside of canon. HELPFUL LINKS: Our : https:///g/Botosphere ABOUT US: Eowyn77: MWF, a newbie to the fandom, I enjoy listening to the movie scores (I have them both), especially the “Prime” playlist consisting of all the songs with Optimus’ theme in them. Deepest, darkest confession: Ironhide’s fangirl Raquel is my Mary Sue. Second deepest, darkest confession: I ‘ship Bumblebee and Arcee. (Read IDW's TF:Defiance before you boo and hiss. Chris Mowry started it! I may or may not finish it, but I’m having a lot of gratuitously straight fun in the process. But you won’t find anything above a T rating in the Botosphere. The Mod Goddess hath spoken.) Oddest cross-over moment of my life: Darth Ishtar was talking about Sam and Alice kissing and I was thinking she meant Twilight. DarthIshtar: SWF. I'm the lone pedestrian and the lone Bostonian. If you want something other than fanfic, I am a published author who loves fairy tales as well as very complicated science-fiction. I'm fluent in Valley Girl and Spanish. While I'm a fangirl in many universes and I've dabbled in fanfic for most of them. Some of the weirdest fics on here are my work, but I'm also the primary voice of the roommates and am responsible for everything Spanglish Leo says. I'm also the founder of this little world, but love all of the contributors. Kateydidnt: SWF, Queen of all Fandoms and Mistress of Crossovers (I can cross-over anything with Dr. Who – and I have!) I enjoy feeding the madness of my collaborators and cackling merrily when the plot bunnies assault them. My kitchen table is the official plot bunny hutch of the Botosphere. It’s my pet theory that lifeforms on Cybertron were an accidental side-effect of the Time War. I’m the Botosphere’s resident webmaster, helping us to the bring story to life at The Daily Buzz's homepage. SpiritofEowyn: MWF, I look like the other Eowyn, so we'll call me Spirit to defuse further confusion. I'm the voice of Lisbeth. Most of my writing involves playing around with reader expectations. I ask the questions that lead to hilarity and romance and draw stuff when things need to be drawn. I've known the other botosphere ladies for eight years now, and have heard most of the planning. The above are my bridesmaids and best friends. I once bought a Rohanhirric sword as an impulse buy. (newest addition) Eowyn'sHalfling: SWF. I'm an aspiring young author who mostly writes for Ninjago, but my mom Eowyn77 got me hooked on Transformers. She tells me I'm the original inspiration for young Annabelle, but I wouldn't know. I mostly write OCs, but TDB is fun too. If you come across a writing style that's noticeably different, it's probably me. On my third time writing with the Botosphere, DarthIshtar said that she and I are in charge of the roomies. She does dialogue, I do mannerisms. For the record, the only Bay!verse TF movies I've seen are 1,2, and 5 with no intentions on seeing 3 and 4. Random fact, I walked in on someone watching DotM and my first reaction to Carly was, "She looks like Alice!" You can also join us on our group extras, out-takes, fic recommendations, or a conversation with the authors or fellow readers. Hope to see you there! ABOUT OUR STORIES: Our fanon is pretty complicated (for example, The Daily Buzz has two multi-chapter fics that parallel it), so for those who want to read it in order, here's the road-map (more or less). :) Just for clarity, the "Introductions" series are all centered around various humans' realization that "Holy crap! That car is a robot!" and most of them are 1-2 shots. The big exception in the Introductions series is Introductions: Autobots which is more along the lines of "Holy slag! That human is a Prime!" (See Kinship for a more detailed explanation of the human Prime.) We also recently started a new series called the "Precursors," which are all pre-movies. Most will be Autobot-centric and pre-Earth, though a few will also feature the human's lives before they met the Autobots. So without further ado, here is the most coherent order for reading: Introductions: Sarah Lennox: READ THIS FIRST! This story lays the groundwork for half of The Daily Buzz and a couple of other stories. (Set when Annabelle is 1 year old, betwen TF1 and TF2) The Daily Buzz: This is the story that started it all. Every other fic here will connect with it directly or indirectly, and if there's something else you need to read to understand a given chapter, we'll cue you in the Author's Notes. We tried to keep the usernames obvious enough for those "in the know," but in case we didn't, here they are. (As more characters are added to the blog, we'll add their names here.) BeeFF = Mikaela, Optimust = Optimus, Camaro76 = Bumblebee, NotTheToothFairy = Ironhide, NurseRatched = Ratchet, BikerChick = Arcee, S&M = Skids and Mudflap, ConSlayer = Sideswipe, Survivor = Will Lennox, Spitfire = Sarah Lennox, BrassEagle = General Morshower, ElectricBlue = Jolt, Faithful = Wheelie, LadiesMan217 = Sam, IncidentalSidekick = Leo, BringTheRain = Bobby Epps, OneManAlone = Seymour Simmons. Also, the boy = Sam, the Mr. & Mrs. = Ron & Judy Witwicky, family = Cybertronians, friends = humans (especially human allies), Botosphere = Autobot blogosphere. (Set during TF2 and a little after) Introductions: Witwickys: Tie-in fic to chapter 2 of The Daily Buzz, can be read anytime (Set one month after TF1) Introductions: Raquel Gutierrez-Ramon: Tie-in fic to chapter 7 of The Daily Buzz, should be read after that chapter (Set shortly after TF2) Bright Spot: Tie-in fic to both chapter 7 of Sarah's story and the "Squirrel Slaughter" chapter of The Daily Buzz. BumblebeexArcee. Can be read anytime. (Set between TF1 and TF2) Introductions: Annabelle Lennox: This should be read after Sarah's story. This one will be pretty long because Annabelle's relationship with the Autobots' is the most complex. (Set when Annabelle is 15, approximately 15 years after TF1) Introductions: Bradley Johnston: OC fic that ties in to Annabelle's story, can be read anytime (set between TF1 and TF2) Introductions: Theresa Epps: Fic that ties in loosely to Sarah's and Annabelle's fics, can be read anytime. (Set approximately 6 years after TF1) Introductions: Jonathan Ellis: OC fic that loosely ties in to Annabelle's story. Can be read anytime. (Set approximately 12 years after TF1) Introductions: William Lennox: stand-alone fic that can be read any time (set during TF1) Undercover: OC fic that ties in to The Daily Buzz, The Tie That Binds, and Intro: Annabelle, can be read anytime (Begins shortly after TF2) Kinship: Parallels The Daily Buzz and can be read any time, though it's probably most fun to read after The Buzz. (Set at the end of TF2) The Tie That Binds: Sequel to Kinship and second in the trilogy, should be read after that. (Set at the end of TF2 through Sam's freshman year) Introductions: Keith Black: OC fic that ties in to Kinship and The Tie That Binds. Can be read anytime. (set at the end of TF2) Introductions: Mohammed al-Sharif: OC fic that ties in to Kinship and The Tie That Binds. Can be read anytime. (set at the end of TF2) Transformers for Christmas: Holiday fic that loosely ties in to Intro: Annabelle. Can be read anytime. (Set approximately 6 years after TF1 and a few months after Intro: Theresa) Reunion: Sequel to three different story lines (Kinship Trilogy, Intro: Raquel, and Bright Spot). Can be read alone, but makes more sense if read after those three. (Set approximately 7 years after TF1) Chat: Stand-alone fic, can be read anytime. IronhidexChromia, some 'BeexArcee (Set 8 years after TF1) Precursors: Kindred Minds: Friendship!fic that loosely ties into the Kinship trilogy. Can be read anytime. (Set pre-Earth during the search for the All Spark) Christmas Derangement: Holiday fic, currently on hold. Can be ready anytime. (Set during the Christmas after ROTF.) The Price: Stand-alone fic, slightly AU for the IDW canon we've been using. Can be read anytime. (Set immediately after TF1) Power Trip: Stand-alone fic, can be read anytime. Our only excuse is Michael Bay made us do it! (Watch the scenes described in this fic to see what we mean. Set during TF1) Adventures of a Blue Police Box: OC fic that ties into both The Daily Buzz and The Tie That Binds. Can be read anytime. Precursors: Foxhole Friends: Prequel to Bright Spot, can be read anytime. Friendship!fic between Bumblebee and Arcee. (Set on Cybertron from before the War up to the Battle of Tyger Pax) Satan's Camaro: April Fools Day fic, stand alone and can be read anytime. Motherhood: Mother's Day fic, parallels Introductions: Sarah Lennox but can be read anytime. (Set between TF1 and TF2) Cold Feet: Fic about Will Lennox in honor of Father's Day, can be read anytime. (Set immediately after TF1.) Plans: AU to the Botosphere. DotM 'verse with the bond from Kinship thrown in. (Set during DotM) COMING ATTRACTIONS: In answer to a few review inquiries, here are some teasers for upcoming fics. This section will be updated when the muse strikes (and we unsuccessfully duck). Unholy Matrimony: Need we say more? (Ish says we CAN say more, so...) Mikaela Sam The Alien Bridal Party from Hell an Italian-Irish Bostonian With a Love of Lavender. Let's leave it at that. Introductions Series upcoming additions: Intro: Autobots - Their reaction to realizing there's a new Prime in town. Intro: Leo Spitz - Because we never really get to see him meet Optimus... Intro: Roommates - you knew it would happen sooner or later Intro: Joanna Bainbridge - See "Love of Lavender" above. Intro: Trent DeMarco Adventures of a Blue Police Box: NOT a crossover, but plenty of poking fun at other fandoms, including but not limited to Dr. Who and Buffy the Vampire Slayer! Also the first solo adventure of RaFly! (It explains why she thinks all humans are NUTS!) ((And we've overdosed on cookies and are hemorraging exclamation points!!!!!)) Creation: Where do Autobot babies come from? And will we ever see any in the Botosphere? Surprisingly, NOT a rehash of "Chat!" Prowl at the Prom: Need we say more? (We're not going to this time!) Some of these fics are companions that can only go up when the original fic gets to a certain point, but the ones that "can be read anytime" are the subject of our current poll. The one with the greatest number of votes gets written first. The ones we get PM's about get written/updated most quickly. Enjoy and hope to hear from you soon! DISCLAIMER: We don't own Transformers; that'd be Hasbro or whoever. Don't sue! Even our OC's are independent agents (they hijack our plots all the time). We're just borrowing the Autobots and Decepticons - we'll be sure to put them back when we're done. Can't vouch for the condition they'll be in, though... |
