9/23/2014 UPDATE

To my wonderful readers,

Before I say anything else, I would like to first sincerely apologize for my extended absence. Real life definitely got in the way and all of my writing has suffered for it. To top everything off, my computer has finally and officially kicked the bucket, and with it went all of my in-progress work. It took me a long time to retrieve my files, but I did eventually get it done and now, hopefully, I can jump back on the fan fiction bandwagon.

I've also gotten a handle on my anxiety, thank goodness. For a while I was feeling pretty miserable, and when my grandfather died it sort of tipped me over the edge. Add to that the sudden deaths of his mother and best friend right afterwards and my whole family was having a rough time of it, to say the least. But we're all doing better now, and I'm ready to get back to my stories!

And to all my faithful readers and reviewers, thank you. You've all been so wonderful during this tough time and I really do appreciate it. You've been so patient and understanding and the only thing I can think of to do in return is reward you with new chapter updates and stories. But before I can do that, I've got some info to share with everyone.

Need-To-Know Info:

1. Kaka Kara No Bourei

Yes, this story will be continued and finished. However, before that happens, KKNB will be getting a complete overhaul. I'm entirely unhappy with it as it is, so I'm going to be doing some major editing. And when I say major, I mean major. All of the posted chapters will be rewritten, grammar will be fixed, flow and plot will be improved, character names will be changed, the rating will be upped to M, and there's even a good possibility I'll be changing the title of the story as well.

Now, a lot of you might wonder why I feel like I need to do this, and the answer is simple: I'm not doing this story justice.

At the time I started KKNB, I was riding high on the Inutaisho/Kagome pairing. I was completely and totally in love with all of Kanna37's Inupapa/Kagome stories and before I could even wrap my head around what was happening I had started my own fic. I was so caught up in the idea of an Inutaisho/Kagome story that I let it run away with me. In fact, I was so far gone I didn't even have the plot worked out past the fifth chapter and I was working so fast I finished writing and editing chapters in as little as two days. I didn't even realize how shoddy the work was until I went back and read the first chapter, and it absolutely horrified me.

So, now, I'm going to put the time and effort into KKNB that it deserves and, hopefully, it'll be worth it in the end :)

2. With the Rain

Not much to say here, actually. I've got this story finished up to chapter 89, so you guys will be getting updates on that pretty frequently from here on out. You can also read this story over on Dokuga, which has all eighty-nine chapters posted, but I wouldn't recommend it because they're mostly unedited. I make improvements as I post them here on FF, but if you don't mind that then I guess go on over to Dokuga and knock yourself out :)

3. Dreamscape

Third chapter is in the works as we speak! I'm almost halfway done with it so it should be posted relatively soon. I also might go back and edit the first two chapters since, like KKNB, I mostly rushed through them in my excitement. But I'll definitely let you all know if I plan on doing some editing and, if I do, it shouldn't take too long.

4. Beyond Darkness

Now this is the story I think I'm most excited about at the moment. I haven't started on any new chapters yet since I kind of have a lot on my plate right now, but don't worry! The next time I update BD will be when I have at least two other chapters finished for it so I'm not scrambling to get things done and posted. This story is not abandoned and I will finish it like I will my other works, I promise.

Unpublished Fics:

For those of you who requested Twilight fics from me, I just wanted to let you know that I haven't forgotten about you! They may not be posted yet, but I've got two in-progress Twilight fics sitting on my hard drive and I have to say I'm pretty psyched about them. Twilight isn't really my cup of tea but I can't deny that I'm proud of what I've done so far and I'm looking forward to sharing them with you. For now, here's a little sneak peek of what's to come:

I nodded. “I don’t understand anything that just happened, except for Edward’s reaction to my blood. And,” I went on with a questioning glance, “how can you be so calm when Edward pretty much went off the rails?”

Jasper regarded me curiously for another moment. “How can you be so calm when the boy you love just tried to kill you?”

I froze.

Hundreds of thoughts, each more vivid than the last, nearly sent me reeling as I was bombarded with them. I inhaled raggedly as I struggled to process the sheer amount of memories Carlisle unintentionally assailed me with, and it was no easy task. Quickly compartmentalizing, I flipped through every image as fast as I was able.

Green fields… stone rooms… dappled sunlight dancing across golden thrones… I couldn’t make sense of what I was seeing, and hastened to work faster.

Tapestries… echoing laughter… dark figures darting down narrow halls… red eyes… I withheld a gasp of realization as I delved deeper into Carlisle’s mind. The Volturi.

Hello all! I'm Azurena :D

I don't really have much to say about myself to be honest. I'm not very interesting :P Let's see...

I'm twenty-three years old and I have a serious obsession with the Sesshoumaru/Kagome pairing. I can't even read fanfics where Inuyasha is Kagome's love interest anymore :P In fact, I'm strictly Sess/Kag or Inupapa/Kag, with the occasional Naraku/Kagome pairing thrown in XD

Aside from Inuyasha, I just love anime and manga and I'm always on the lookout for something new to read and/or watch, so if you having anything you'd like to recommend, please let me know! :D

Along with anime and manga, I also have a serious, SERIOUS obsession with Asian stuff in general, particularly Korean stuff. Music, food, culture... I'm a Korean fanatic. I'm learning the language as we speak, actually. Don't even get me started on the men...

Trust me, I know I'm weird :3

I also feel like I need to address my story With the Rain for a brief moment. I've been getting a LOT of questions regarding that story, and frankly I'm not entirely sure why everyone seems so confused, so I'm going to try and explain what I can.

First off, With the Rain is going to be a long story and the chapters are going to be short because it is a one-shot series. I get a lot of questions like, "Why did such and such happen?" or "Why is he/she doing that?" I understand wanting to know what's going to happen, but I cannot explain everything at once guys. This story is all about angst and intrigue. More often than not the chapters will end with cliffhangers, and you will be left with questions that will eventually be answered. Just have some faith in me :) I've got it all under control.
