UPDATE: 12/26/17: Took a while, but I am back. Working on LSatB for the most part, with a possible Star Wars one-shot. I am always up for suggestions.

7/10/16: Whew been a while. I've been at my new job for a year now, and things are still as hectic, which leaves me little time to write. BABP is finished, and FoT is discontinued. BRSB is a maybe or maybe not - I have been out of the fandom for a while - and my CapAmerica one-shot series is on hiatus (for lack of interest). Black Sails is a no-go as well. AB has a steady sort of reader-base, so that is encouraging, and it seems I have taken it upon myself to fix the current season one vignette at a time. As always, prompts are welcome and encouraged.

9/3/15: Beta profile was closed in the first four days of opening it. Either I am in high demand or there is no one else around to beta. I'm going with the latter. AB is chugging right long, and seems to have grown a modest following, so thank you to all those who have reviewed and favourited/followed. I apologize that I haven't been as on top of things recently with responding to reviews; I've just moved to a new town, found a new job, and am in the middle of looking again for a new place to live. So please be patient with me. And although I have very little time to myself these days and already have a boatload (no pun intended) of stories on top of AB that I need to focus on, I might - emphasis on might - have a Black Sails short story in the works. We'll just have to see how that one pans out.

8/11/15: BABP is complete, though there might be more coming in a new installment for next season. LatB is hesitantly back, but I have put BRSB, SSB, and FoT on hiatus (as if that is news to anyone). New collection for The Last Ship is up, entitled Absolute Bearing, and it seems to be doing well. The fandom is small but extremely welcoming and encouraging; after a few of my other fandoms, this is a treat. All in all that's about it for now. My beta profile is open on a limited basis. 6/18/14: CapAmerica collection is up, and a long(ish) Bucky one shot may be following it. Nixing the TVD fic, and I'm going to try focusing more on just LatB, BABP, and SSB. Maybe that will get me updating more regularly. And prompt me, kids. It helps my brain to write something I didn't come up with.

5/19/14: Well...been a bit of a mess around here. LatB should be back up and running within the week. BABP is on track once more, updating fairly regularly with that (a nice change). A new story might be in the works in order to get my mind off Tolkien and Stephen Amell's abs, but it will be a Vampire Diaries fic, which I am not sure how many of you followers would enjoy. But I do love OC's, and I plan on having a fantastic one for this work (magic isn't just for little witches, you know...). My AO3 account is still active, but my Leverage story has been put on the backburner (little interest and /or drive to write it). Other than that, I might open up my beta profile again on a limited basis, so if you have an questions about that, drop me a line or two.

1/12/14: I am now posting my works on AO3. I may or may not continue with , depending on how well this goes. If I do end up moving, I may only move my Arrow fiction. The FFVII will remain, and the Leverage might. My name there is AshesofOrisoun. I am now on tumblr as well as disasterintow.

4/01/13: 1) I have deleted a number of my older works. They were a bit stale, and I would rather not have them hanging about taking up space. 2) My FFVII fic may or may not be moving forward again, but thanks to ohsynapse I might have found the energy to try. 3) I've found a new series to chew on, Arrow, and I suspect there may be more than just a one-shot in the future. 4) I've just gone through a massive double hard drive failure, resulting in the loss of over 60,000 words of fictions, reviews, essays, and research. Hence the reason I've found it difficult to continue with Fields of Trees.

Important Author's Note: While I do take prompts of most shapes and sizes, I have to say that I will not take AUs, marriage, or pregnancy/children prompts. They aren't my cup of tea and I don't want any of you thinking I am simply ignoring you by not working off your prompt. And that isn't to say I look down on anyone who suggests one; if you like that type of story, then great, just know I won't be writing one. Also, please keep in mind the scope of the prompt when you give it; collections like AB, BABP, and SSB are all compiled of short chapters that rarely go over 700 words. Giving me a prompt that requires multiple chapters to fill is most likely not going to be written, as it doesn't fall into the theme of the work itself. But I'm still always excited to hear your thoughts and ideas on whatever subject is floating around about the shows/movies we watch, so feel free to drop by my PM any time and chat away.
