Author has written 16 stories for Transformers/Beast Wars, Chronicles of Narnia, and Warhammer. Greetings, friend, and welcome to my humble abode here on FFNet! If you're here, then either I've left you a review, or you've seen my user name or a review left for someone else around the site, and were intrigued. Perhaps you've even found and read (and hopefully enjoyed) one of my stories. Or maybe you're just stalking me :) Either way, come on in and make yourself comfortable... Name: MyBlueOblivion... I also answer to MBO, and my friends call me Blue. Real Name: Jez Age: 36 Gender: Male Country: England Current Location: Home sweet home... Currently Reading: Needful Things - Stephen King Currently Listening To: That's The Spirit - Bring Me The Horizon Quote of the Moment: "He is a mystery, wrapped in an enigma, crudely f*cking stapled to a ticking time-bomb! He was either going to punch you, or he was going to write a blog. Personally, I'm glad he hit you..." - The Magicians, by Lev Grossman Bio: Hmm... where to begin? About me: Nothing exciting to put here, really. I live in a quiet corner of Essex, England, with my family and three cats. I work in the community, and when I'm not doing that I can normally be found reading, writing, or playing video games. Like I said, nothing exciting. I've been writing on and off for years... I was nine when I first had something published for the general public to read (a poem-style re-write of The Pied Piper of Hamlin, which spent some time on the wall of my local library). Since then, I've tried somewhat unsuccesfully to write two novels, which will most likely never get finished (though I do go back and write a bit for them every so often... it's harder than it looks!) I'll get there one day, I'm sure. Back in 2007, I discovered Fan Fiction. Being a Transformers fan since a very early age, that was where I started, first reading then eventually plucking up the courage to post... a handful of stories later, and I haven't looked back. I'm not a prolific writer, not by any means, and it does take me time to finish a story. Generally, though, it does happen... I just ask that my readers be patient :) My writing style, I would like to think, is quite readable... whilst I'm under no illusion that my work will be to everyone's liking, or that I may be the best thing since Tolkien (which I'm not), I do think it's passable. Rather than describe it more than that, I merely suggest taking a peek at the stories below. They range from humour, to high adventure, to deep introspection and even a little that can be described as horror (though 'chilling' would most likely be more accurate). I will say that I think I've gotten better at writing since coming here, and that I still have a great deal to learn. Disclaimers: To save me writing these in every chapter of every story I have yet to write, please note the following: I do not profit from the stories I have posted here, regardless of fandom, genre, or length, nor do I claim ownership of anything that is definably 'canon' pertaining to the fandoms my stories inhabit. Nor shall I ever claim such, as it happens. 'Nuff said. So that's me. I hope that this hasn't bored you at all, but somehow it seemed appropriate. I hope that you go on to read my stories, hope even more that you like them, and wish you a very good day indeed. Yours, MyBlueOblivion "But I have lived, and have not lived in vain; My mind may lose its force, my blood its fire, And my frame perish even in conquering pain; But there is that which resides in me that shall tire both Torture and Time, and breathe when I expire..." - Lord Byron In Memoriam Prime Revolver: Jan. 22nd 1992 - Jan. 20th 2010 This is written in memory of one of my closest friends here on FFNet, who sadly passed away in January. Prime Revolver was the first person to review my first story here. We got talking, and quickly became friends. She was, without a word of exaggeration, what I would call a 'beautiful soul'; she was unfailingly kind and caring, always full of encouragement and inspiration, and always there for her friends. My thoughts and condolences go out to her family and friends in this difficult time. PR was a talented writer too; despite problems with her spelling, she wrote with more passion and imagination than a good many on this site. She wrote everything from comedy, to drama, to romance, and every word of it spoke of a deep love for writing. We were going to start a story together soon, and it is now one of my greatest regrets that we never got started; I may, at some point in the future, run with what we had so far. I think she would have liked that. I miss her, simply put. Rest easy, kiddo. |
