Reviews for Lucy's Question
Whyhow chapter 1 . 4/2/2017
As usual, when asked a question with a perfectly simple and valid answer that the asker ought to know, Aslan responds with something perhaps technically correct, but completely uninformative.

I always wondered that as well. Thank you for thinking of a reason! I quite enjoyed it. :)

Peanut Butter etc chapter 1 . 7/31/2009
Very lovely! I always enjoy seeing Peter being all protective and brotherly especially with little Lucy. I giggled at the line about Orieus giving Tumnus combat lessons (I very rarely giggle at anything so double kudos).

I had always wondered the same thing. Didn't they get homesick? Didn't they worry about their parents? This answered my questions perfectly. Adding Tumnus, just made it even better. I adore Tumnus-I mean James McAvoy, I adore James McAvoy.

Also, "I asked him once myself." made me get that cotton candy feeling in my tummy. This is going on my favorites without a doubt.

Sleepless Eremite chapter 1 . 5/30/2009
This was spectacular! I can't believe I didn't find it before. It was a wonderful representation of Lucy's sweet and inquisitive nature, and I loved all of the sibling interaction, though it would have been nice to see Susan too ;) Very well done, thanks for posting!

(And can I bug you to update Breaking the Borders now?)
AmberBrightEyes chapter 1 . 9/8/2008
It was awsum. Briliantly done.
Faithfulpurelight chapter 1 . 6/9/2008
aw. that was very masterfully done. It was perfectly believable, and you write Lucy very well. I always have trouble with her and perfer writing the boys myself, but this was wonderful. it captured the essence of Lucy nicely, and I enjoyed how all of her siblings asked Aslan the same question at one point or another.

I expecially enjoyed,

"You’re liable to bring the whole castle down on my head – King or no, if they think I’ve frightened you – Tumnus would be at me with that umbrella of his – I swear, Oreius has given him lessons in combat—” (made me giggle)

and I liked the touch you added of Peter saying he and Ed would handle any trouble. I nice touch that Peter knows he can't do everything on his own.

a favorite for sure!

MyBlueOblivion chapter 1 . 3/20/2008
This is a beautiful little gem. The question of the Pevensies not going home (or even wanting to go home) has always struck me as one of the stranger 'quirks' of LWW; right alongside the missing battle of Beruna, Edmund's mysterious transformation from traitor to hero, and one or two others.

This story fills that gap nicely. I loved the different approaches you showed to Lucy's question, from Peter's sage advice, to her own need for answers, to Edmund's quiet acceptance that she would find what she needed... all very beautiful, and an absolute joy to read. Well done!

Yours,

Aw, this story was so sweet! I wouldn't change a word. Your writing fits very well with Lewis' and I look forward to reading anything else you have to offer in the Narniaverse!
claire henry chapter 1 . 11/13/2007
that was soo cute and sweet and something that Lucy would ask of Aslan to aswear.
Jemma-Jo chapter 1 . 6/28/2007
"Tumnus would be at me with that umbrella of his – I swear, Oreius has given him lessons in combat."

That made me laugh so hard. Really good job, I like the idea of them worrying.
