Hello!

I never know what to write for these things, so I'll just say that I'm a university student, who has, since childhood, never been able to leave a good book/tv show/film where it ends. For me, the sign that it was so good was when I would put it down and continue thinking about it's characters and the world created. A good world can be one that's historical, fantastical, or just well built with a lot of possibilities that made me want to play around with it, however what has always made a piece of fiction, whatever the medium, was always the characters. For me, characters make or break something, and it didn't matter how good the world or the plot was if they left me empty, and similarly I will often overlook plot/world/sanity if the characters are well built and make me care.

If the character could make me care, I'd think about them, fill them in, wonder about what they did when they weren't on the epic adventure they always were on in there book/film etc, and make up extra stories about them. And occasionally I'd write them down, and maybe share them with a close friend who had also read/seen whatever the latest obsession was. Until the day I innocently stumbled upon this site and discovered other people did this too, decided I'd give it ago, and several years later I'm still here. In those few years I like to think my writing has improved, thanks to practice and hopefully some maturing of the good sort, and whilst some of my stuff makes me cringe, I've left it up. This is because some people have enjoyed it, and I know it's not nice when a story you like gets deleted, but also because it's important to be able to see personal development and learn from it, and because it's a personal history of my writing, and I like history enough to do a degree in it.
