![]() Author has written 8 stories for Naruto, and RWBY. Right, let's jump right in. I like a lot of stuff, but I'm only really interested in writing Iome and random little RWBY character pieces right now. Maybe this will change someday and I'll branch out a little. Gods know I didn't expect to ever do anything past my Naruto SI when I started writing. I even wrote this little note at the time:
The goal of Iome, as I abbreviate it, is to set up an environment where I can sort of explore a few key concepts. The so-called burden of genius Grief and coping That weird thing we call destiny The breaking points of peopleIt's also where I have my fun with: Rotating perspective games Unreliable narration First person narration Differences between how people view the same thing Actual plot (there's actually a storyboard and a notebook full of stuff between me and my beta reader)Old summary for iome:
Hopefully the current summary is a better reflection of where the story sits. Somehow, just actually putting I opened my eyes out there and getting positive feedback made me a little braver. I was able to get started with some of my RWBY stuff. I treat the RWBY universe a little differently than I treat Naruto, but I think I really try to explore some of the same concepts. Since most of what I write here are oneshots, I get a little more wiggle room to experiment with different story techniques. Other than that, I've just really been avoiding writing actual plot in RWBY-- I find myself a lot more interested in exploring the characters. You might also notice that (at the time of me writing this profile thing) almost all of them are angst/whatever. Personally, I blame Miles and Kerry, as well as the Volume Three finale. It's true... somewhere along the way, I might have decided that it really could have been sadder. I'm still blaming Miles and Kerry. Series: Stark White 'verse At this point, the Stark White 'verse is less of a series than it is a common world that sets up some rules for team STRQ. The basic premise, I suppose, is that everyone loved Summer Rose and her death was the most critical event in the world of RWBY. Each story in this 'verse stands well enough alone, but as of now they all fit together quite nicely. In order:
I'm also on AO3, same username, if you prefer that. |
