I'm a writer who lost his way somewhere in his mid-20s, and who is now rediscovering the joys and challenges of writing through the dread power of fanfiction.

I love good dialogue, internally consistent narratives that avoid plot holes, organic character development and healthy doses of humour even in the most grimdark of fics. Imaginative worldbuilding is a bonus, but there's a great deal one can do even without it. While in the past I mostly stuck to writing comedy one-shots, which demand only one or two of the above from my limited skills, Lighting Up the Dark is my attempt to do something more. I also co-write a forum quest on Sufficient Velocity called Marked for Death, a much more successfully rational reimagining of the Naruto setting which updates twice a week.

Update 18/10/18: The Lighting Up the Dark rewrite is live!

You can now find Lighting Up the Dark at Sufficient Velocity (// /threads/lighting-up-the-dark.51004/) and AO3 (/// works/16334321/chapters/38214764). The Sufficient Velocity version is the default, since it has better text editing than AO3 and doesn't eat my formatting like FFN.

Oh, I also have one of those things beginning with P where fans can support people whose work they like but FF censors out for some incomprehensible reason. It's under my usual username.
