Author has written 20 stories for Harry Potter, and Bible. RIP Alan Rickman AKA Professor Severus Snape, 14 January 2016 Hi everybody, Welcome to the profile of Blackpantherprince, also known as Blackpanther on Potions and Snitches. As you might have guessed, I love cats, and if Professor Severus Snape was an animagus, I like to imagine him as a black panther. Reading and writing are my passions, although writing in English is quite new to me, as English is not my native language. I love the Harry Potter books and my absolute fav character is Professor Severus Snape, besides Harry himself, of course, and Remus, Tonks, Sirius and Luna are pretty cool too. If it was up to me, Remus, Tonks and Sirius would all still be alive. Poor Harry, to loose his godfather, the only real father figure he ever had ... that was heartbreaking ... Lately, I have also been very fascinated with Teddy Lupin, the son of two of my fav characters, a metamorphmagus too boot, and the godson of Harry, all of it makes him into such an interesting character... and Harry's children too have a special place in my heart, especially Albus Severus, the namesake of my main fav character. Alongside Harry, in the golden trio, Hermione is probably my fav, Ron is OK also, but he can be annoying at times ... but that is also part of his charm, he is human, as we all. However, of the Weasleys, the twins are probably my favs, it was sooo sad when Fred died, poor George, it must be just terrible to lose a twin, and poor Molly and Arthur, to lose a son. Neville is a true hero in his own right too, in a way, I kind of see him as the good counterpart to Peter Pettigrew in relationship to the golden trio, the brave one, who never betrayed his friends, but stayed faithful. Besides HP, in general I enjoy most Phantasy/Sci-Fi, and Tolkien's works, the Narnia series, Merlin and Star Wars also belong to my favorites, although as far as fanfiction is concerned, I am mostly into the world of HP, but I also read crossovers occasionally. It is interesting to see what happens when different worlds collide and their characters meet. However, HP fanfiction has a special place in my heart, I suppose it has something to do with my wish for a happier end for our dear old Potions Master, as well as a happier childhood for Harry, and I love to explore the complex relationship between them. In general I prefer AU stories, and I love dimension travelling and time-travelling fics ... and next generation fics are also quite appealing, since it leaves a lot to the author's imagination and she/he very much is given free reins to mold the future ... If you are going to read/write fanfiction, why follow the canon story line exactly, I find that kind of boring. It is more interesting to put the characters into new contexts and situations, and explore what will happen, and that includes pairings, even if I also like the canon ships. It's great that the "Golden Trio" ended up being related, and Harry, the orphan, got a new, big family in the Weasleys. But, to me, one of the points of fanfiction is to shake things up a bit. To boil it down, it is foremost the characters and the magical world of HP that I love, not the canon plot necessarily. However, my Snape poems written so far are all set in the canon HP universe, but I have also recently written a poem inspried by Kurinoone's alternate Dark Prince universe, entitled "Father and Dad". The poem is set in "The Darkness Within", the first book of her amazing trilogy, exploring Harry's complicated relationship to James Potter and Voldemort respectively. I love her series, and if you have not read it, do check it out. The Bible has also a special place in my heart, it really is the Book of Books, just think of how many works of literature throughout history that is somehow inspired, based or influenced by the Bible. I am sure the literature of the Western World would look VERY different without the Bible, it's hard to imagine. For example, there is no secret that there are biblical influences in both the HP novels, the Narnia series and in Tolkien's works. Currently, I am working on a Bible poetry project, a collection of poems based on the characters in Genesis, first out are Cain, Abel and Seth. I have also previously written a poem inspired by Ecclesiasties, asking the eternal question of the meaning of our brief lives here on this Earth. "The Prince Tale" in the end of the final HP novel is in my view one of the most touching pieces of literature that I have ever read, and I cried when Severus died, far too young. I first got acquainted with the Harry Potter world by reading a review in my daily News Paper just before the first book came out (in English). I have read all seven HP novels in English, because I had not the patience to wait for the translations in my native language, and my firm opinion is that you should preferably read a work in its original language, if possible, as a translation always involves interpretation. I also enjoy the movies, my impression is that the producers have captured the spirit of the HP novels, characters and world very well, even if a movie never can be the same as the original book. Alan Rickman really brought Severus Snape to life on the screen, may he rest in peace. After being an avid HP fanfic reader for quite some time (I am really amazed in regards to how many wonderful stories and authors there are out there), I now decided that the time was ripe to write my own stories, in order to contribute to the world of fanfiction, practice my writing and share my stories with you. As an aspiring author, all feedback is greatly appreciated, so please push that little review button to let me know what you think, it means a lot to me :) Besides publishing own poems, I have also recently founded a Community dedicated to high quality Harry Potter poetry in general (all characters and settings). So, If you like poetry, I recommend that you take a peek. If you have a suggestion for a poem/story, please feel free to PM me. Thanks in advance! :) To me, fanfiction is a way to further explore the original work, its characters and world, and the Harry Potter novels certainly contain so many layers to discover, not to mention the Bible, it's a never ending source ... For all you French speaking people out there, check out the translation of my poem "When I See You".Thanks so much to Uzu-kurama for translating it into French:) Link: /s/12564796/1/When-I-See-You-Traduction.
