I understand this was from a very long time ago (over ten years?), but it made me feel like I’m thirteen again, reading stories that pull at my heartstrings and touch me with their beauty. Lately, I’ve been too bogged down with the realities of life — which aren’t bad things, but just normal things. I forget that it’s possible to feel this way. I haven’t felt it in a long, long time. | nemvsis chapter 1 . 7/5/2018 i love how compelling the writing in this is but more than that the turmoil of both characters is almost visceral. snape especially is a hard character to empathise with, but the characterisation and tone of this piece makes it just that smidge easier...definitely a fic i find myself coming back to again and again, for one reason or another - and each reading leaves me with some new perspective. wonderful work all around |
| LoneTraveler chapter 1 . 3/8/2018 Her feelings for him don’t follow, don’t make sense, at the end it seems superimposed for the sake of gratification. It doesn’t fit Snape either, for who he is, he’d know the difference between undying love for Lily and falling for her daughter. In character, he just wouldn’t, and if he did he certainly would not allow himself any expression of those feelings. Not to a young girl, 15, 16, or 17. Maybe with more character development it would make sense, but from Rose’s POV especially it a real long shot. |
