Hello all!

My name is Lea (currently little lea valkyrie, formerly (briefly) little norse warrior and Lacking Stealth), and I've been reading fanfic longer than I've been writing it. You can find my on tumblr here (the old blog, wherein I tagged sporadically at best) or here (the new blog, currently under construction) if you want to cry with me about the CW series Arrow and The Flash, the Marvel Cinematic Universe (mostly Captain America, and then mostly Bucky Barnes, but also Agents of Shield), or Avatar: The Last Airbender (mostly a certain water bender and a certain firebender) and the Legend of Korra, to a lesser extent, or if you want to giggle with me about Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Harry Potter is always relevant, and Marauders will never fail to make me laugh and cry in equal measure, and if I die before this fic is finished, I will never be able to forgive myself.

I started on this site in 2010, when I had a vary narrow idea of the fanfic I liked to read and a vary elevated sense of my own skills as a writer. My tastes fanfic has expanded in some ways (most of them smutty) and narrowed in others (I am very, very picky about the style of writing and the characterization, more so than the actual plot), and I've read too much spectacular fanfiction to know that the things I was writing when I first started here were nothing compared to what truly skilled writers can accomplish. I'm still working to hone my craft, though, because I have a story to tell now, dammit, and I'm the only one who can tell it.

There is a thing, a Maximum Ride thing, under construction. (Because there is a part of me that will always be 14, and there is a part of me that will always want to fly.) It is slowly coming together. (Very slowly). I'm attempting to expand the universe in which the story takes place, and this requires a little bit of additional research. When the story is posted, I'll link to the tumblr page I made for that, too.

(I plan on this thing being the only really epic thing I ever accomplish, and to that effect, if I do write at all outside of this story, it will be dribbles and drabbles and oneshots, most likely of the shippy variety. I make no promises.)

I am always looking for a good fic rec. Any of the previously mentioned fandoms are free-reign. I'm also on AO3 here for anyone who wants to see what I've been reading there. (This thing that I'm working on may or may not end up on AO3 as well, but the MR fandom has a way smaller presence, and it's all , like, crossovers. So.) I'm always looking for more fic to consume my life, and I'm always up for discussing said fic and the fandoms of said fic, so if you want to talk at all, just drop me a line! A PM might be the most efficient method for this, as sometimes Tumblr eats asks.

Additionally, if I ever discuss something or portray something in one of my stories in a way that is personally or morally offensive in any way, please let me know and we can talk about how I can fix it. I am a (proud, softcore, raging) feminist, and I am trying my hardest to be as inclusive as possible.
