I follow your most recent work on Archive, but I was fumbling around through here and discovered this, and I read it ages ago. Back when you first wrote it. And there's just something about this story. It's like coming back home. I can see myself reading it years ago, and how different of a girl I was, but I still feel quite the same somehow. Love. It. Too. Much. It's no secret that I love your Lily. I adore this vivacious, dynamic, sassy woman with the pure heart and the kept together attitude. She is the kind of woman that could easily pass as a modern age Lizzie Bennet; one that won't hesitate in calling someone out for their shit or go after what (or in this case who!) she truly wants. Lily as portrayed here (as well as in Wizard Walks Into A Bar!) is the epitome of the Seventh Year Lily Evans. The I'm-a-woman-who-knows-what-she-wants-and-I'm-gonna-get-it vibe, James and Lily's beautiful Seventh Year beautiful friendship (that I could read about in a thousand different fics and never get enough of) and the warm, fuzzy feeling it gives me, the flirtatious banter because neither of the two ever misses a beat, Sirius' reaction upon seeing them together.. Ah, it's too much! This story is a blessing. 2,479 words worth of wit and sassiness that I can read and reread and never get tired of! I simply can't get enough of your perspective of Hogwarts!Jily; it's too perfect and you should definitely revisit it. Then again your AUs are equally exquisite so I'm simply grateful you share with us any of the wonderful stories you come up with and conjure with endless doses of love, talent and humour. |
