I loved your Lily and the way you pictured their relationship, and especially that line: " It is June—it has always been her escape from getting As in Transfiguration and losing prefect in favor of Alice Abbott and knowing that people talk after she leaves a room. Summer has always been omelets and orange juice and hiding from the world in her backyard, but James doesn't like orange juice and comes up to her bedroom every morning at nine o'clock instead, and Lily isn't sure that she minds." what really amazes me is the level of depth in every character's story. like James's. his is complicated and a bit heartbreaking - beautiful, even. Lily's life isn't what i've usually dreamed up, but there's something nice about the imperfections of her life. i think maybe the books gave me a view through rose-colored lens.

i love how you describe their relationship, and - and i can't really find the exact word to sum it all up. maybe it's just that: a story too good you can't ever fully fathom.

This is so sweet! I love how it's just small moments and tidbits of conversation, but it really comes together. And I love that last line! It's so cute! I just realized how many exclamation points I've used. Sorry about that ...

I really love this one. I feel torn because I want more of it yet I feel like if it were anything but a one-shot it would ruin the simple beauty of it.

:) Okay, it's official. I'm in love with your perceptive of James and Lily. Each story/oneshot is so individualistic, yet all essentially the same. Lily and James never change, just their actions and what those come to. I really enjoyed the simplicity of this one. ESPECIALLY the last line. Just...great.

This is incredibly beautiful. I love how much background and characterization you pack into such a short piece. Plus Lily and James in general-you can really see how they'd fall in love with each other, with something like this, and how their longing to Do Something More might make way to the couple that defies Voldemort three times.

I love Lily's definition of summer, and how it slowly changes throughout James's visits, starting with Snape (summer is greasy hair and oily skin all hidden from the world in her backyard) and ending with James (Because summer is all Quidditch and confidence and windswept hair).

I also liked the descriptions of both James's and Lily's families, although hers is more subtle, like how they still believe she wants to be a Muggle schoolteacher. The remnants of her friendship with Snape were great, and it was all very realistic. In general, I loved your characterizations of Lily and James, and I love your prose, and I love this fic.

That was so sweet. I loved how you portrayed James, and I'm glad Severus got a mention! Great job!
