Author has written 9 stories for Sherlock, and Supernatural. Hello! I’m Makayla and I live in Maine. I’m a senior in high school and I’ve been writing for ten years now. Though I sometimes work on stories of my own, fan fiction is one of my favorite pastimes - whether I’m reading or writing it. In case you’re wondering what exactly I write, here's a comprehensive guide: - I like hurt/comfort the most (who am I kidding - it’s 100% my favorite genre in the world). Though I don’t always write h/c, there’s often an element of it in my writing, even if it isn’t the focus. The reason for this is because I absolutely love writing the characters when they’re emotional and caring for each other! - I try to keep things canon. Every so often I might do an AU, but it will be nothing major, because I’m not usually fond of AUs unless the plot idea really intrigues me. Likewise, I care very deeply about keeping the characters realistically in character. Hopefully, nothing about my stories will be too OOC. - I don’t do slash. Romance just isn’t my thing. You’ll find all sorts of bromance, friendship, fluff, and family love in my writing, but explicit romance is not something I do. I might acknowledge canonical pairings, if it pertains to my story, but ships will never be the focal point of any story. I’ve only written Supernatural and Sherlock fan fiction so far but I’m also in the following fandoms: Supernatural I joined the SPN family in late summer of 2017, and it's the fandom I'm most devoted to. I fell in love with the brotherly relationship between Sam and Dean, and I absolutely love daydreaming about if I was their younger sister and got to go on hunts with them. Saving people, hunting things - who wouldn't want to do that with the Winchesters?! I have several stories for Supernatural and I plan to write many more! Sherlock Sherlock was the first fandom that I wrote and read fan fiction for. It's such a classic story that the BBC really transformed into a captivating series! I joined the Sherlock fandom in January of 2017. Harry Potter Like many fan fiction writers out there, I'm in the Harry Potter fandom (honestly, who isn't?!). I can't remember exactly when I first became a fan of the books and movies but I know I was around seven or eight years old, so I can safely say that Hogwarts is my home. I have yet to write any fan fiction for it, though, but maybe some day when I actually have time on my hands I will. Merlin This summer of 2018 I joined the Merlin fandom! I went from thinking it was a cute show to an entertaining one to a downright depressing one by the time I watched the series finale. That ending was definitely a stab in the heart, but I've fallen in love with the characters and I'm already planning some stories for it. For the love of Camelot! The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit Tolkien is definitely one of the best writers I've read. Though I don't reread the books very often, because it's certainly slow-moving, I cherish Middle Earth and can't get enough of the idea of the One Ring. My dad introduced this trilogy to me in the summer of 2016. Doctor Who I'm not officially part of this fandom yet, but I'm on my way there! I just finished the series two finale and I must admit that it was so depressing that I now feel like I'm bonding with the show. Stupid BBC, forcing us to love a show by making us depressed by it. I Am Number Four This is an excellent book series that unfortunately has a very small fan base. I really hope it gets more readers! It's definitely my favorite science fiction series! My brother forced me to read it several years ago, and even though I read it reluctantly, I ended up loving it. Percy Jackson I admittedly am not caught up with Riordan's work (I never finished the Heroes of Olympus series *winces*) but the Percy Jackson series is one that I'm always game to go back and reread. My brother got me into this book series as well when I was around ten years old. Game of Thrones I’m currently reading GoT and holy moly, it is AMAZING! Anyone who is a Tolkien fan would love it, because it’s a perfect blend of fantasy and medieval-like settings. It’s also written beautifully - George R. R. Martin is a literary artist! Buffy the Vampire Slayer I just started watching Buffy and I was hooked by season 2. It’s corny at times but that’s why I love it - the characters are funny and so genuine. It also reminds me of Supernatural, and who am I kidding - anything remotely similar to Supernatural always grabs my attention. Other I'm not completely in these fandoms but I'm also a fan of The Hunger Games, Divergent, Alice, Twilight, Gone, and Peter and the Starcatchers. When I’m not writing, I play the violin. Classical music is my favorite to play, with soundtracks from my favorite movies and shows in particular. I also enjoy reading and playing ping pong. I’m always open to criticism, prompts, and questions, so drop me a PM if you ever want to chat! Thanks so much for visiting my page, and reading this far! |
